This is nothing new ...was available earlier also ...... It does not provide any information just tells you your refund cheque has not been sent (as if we dont alreday know that !!! ) The toll free number of State Bank of India is something else .... you will never be able to talk to any executive on that line .................
This site only tells you that AO has not cleared my refund whereas even when you get it cleared this site doesn't provide any update and no escalation matrix where you can approach to get your refund. They are routing refund through SBI and SBI is least concerned of processing these refund and SBI is taking its own sweet time, it must be lasr priority for SBI process refunds.
like most pious pronouncements of our fat parasitical socialist government.. this too is without any substance ! to stop corruption and forced bribery in handing over IT refunds the govt started this centralised IT driven facility at bangalore. but even after that i am not receiving refunds directly into my bank a/c.. i am still hvng to go and get my refund out .. u know how ..! by "meeting" IT officers who have ensured tht there are enough loopholes and snags in the system !

Sandeep, understand your problem. But you need to learn from Anna Hazare. You should not have 'met' the IT officers. Instead, waited for the refund to come to your mailing address - for some more time. Any delay IT will give you 10% per annum as interest. I did the same and I got the refund from IT for AY 2009-10 some days back. With more than 10% interest (I had filed the returns in June 2009). So you see, Gandhigiri (or better Annagiri) works here as well.
We all will have to learn to be patient here. It is the pace at which we want to move - creates such cenv where are are forced to bribe and make the entire society corrupt.

They are smarter than that. I did the same recently. Kept waiting for the cheque. And sure enough I got it one fine morning but with a wrong SBI account number :). Now I have returned it back to them for getting a correct cheque and haven't heard back from them again.Howz that?

Did you got your refunds without any followups..? My last 3 years refunds are pending and I have filed returned offline.. Is there any procedure to follow up?
We all know the status that refund cheque is not yet received. What we want to know is when will i get my refund .This website doesnot speak aout that.Which is Important from Tax payers Point of view.
