infact seeing a problem. once u start seeing a problem then the problem immediately presents itself. This issue is not as simple as the lady tried to put it.... seeking a fairer complexion as a partner is fair enough if it suits the people. segregationg of people according to colour and race has been coming from time immemorial. commercial people only started making money out of it. these are the dynamics of evolution. Just as a fat person is naturally disadvantaged by the fat they carry. however hereditary it is ...its also a disadvantage. but if u stop looking things from consequential point of view then there is no problem at all...
I ONCE GAVES FAIRNESS CREME AS GIFT TO SAMBAR EATING FRIEND. HE GAVE BIG LECTURE ON 'EUROPEAN COLONIALISM AND SUBSEQUENT SKIN COLOR RACISM IN SUBCONTINENT' WHAT AN UNGRATEFUL FELLOW.

What do you mean Sambar eating friend? This shows how racist you are. Do you know that you are supposed to turn off the caps lock??
women are bringing a host of ailments onto human society by their fickle fear of the sun. Sun is the giver of life it benefits both plants and animals. there is scarce growth in the northern latitudes where sun is scant, little diversity and man/animal becomes white to absorb more UV rays
In the tropics our skin is more pigmented to protect from excess radiation but we should not totally avoid the sun. daily we should spend at least one hour fully exposed to the sun to synthesize vitamin D which is a most potent vitamin to develop bones, boost immunity, and fight cancer.
in fact all modern ailments are largely self inflicted due to constant brainwashing by skin care companies that the sun is bad for our skin.
India is the mother of all racist societies. People in India discriminate not only on basis of caste, subcaste, subsubcaste, skin colour, religion, region, sex, social status and so on but also on the basis of dietary preferences. Even in such so called consmopolitan cities like Mumbai there are no go enclaves for non-vegetarians where you cannot get an apartment if you are not a vegetarian. The affluent Gujus, jains and banias practise this discrimination and horror of horrors even the courts seem to not mind it.

Well Vivek... What do u say of the brits who just move from that street when Asians manage to but /rent a house /apartment in that area? India is far better ...I dont deny that there may be dietary discrimination as u said but did u ever think of the plight of those veggies who get to live with the smell of the non veg food cooked or left over meat thrown into their apartment balconies...if these non veg people lived a bit more neat and clean and dumped their garbage properly closed and would do something so that teh other apartments do not have to live with the smells liek installing a chimney above the stove to disperse the gases the problem would not have snowballed to the extent that they have stopped the non veg people coming to their apartmanets...It is better if you look at the cause of the problem when you try to highlight a problem

@tester- You have a point. But have you considered how these veggies feed kabutar dana to pigeons day in an day out. The pigeons then shit all over the place in people's window sills, balconies which has to be cleaned expending much time and efforts and also comes with the risk of contracting deadly diseases?

Yeah - can't blame them - they have bills to pay.
It comes down to the individual. Am I comfortable being dark-skinned? Am I strong enough to resist and battle the peer pressure? Do I enjoy life in spite of the 'supposed flaws' that the FMCG brands would like me to work upon?
In turn, am I taking time out and comforting my disillusioned dark-skinned friends? It _always_ begins with the individual.
