Re: Sell Only in Packets

yes better sell condoms and sex toys in schools no matter even if its in loose............ so its consumption increases and smoking consumption reduces.
Best Method - "Stop smoking yourself". Best alternative - "Govt should stop manufacture/sale of Tobacco & Liquor - If they prefer a healthy India and healthy subjects over lots of revenue".
Why all this drama of banning smoking in public place, increase price, pictorial warning on packets etc when we actually want more and more revenue?? Nothing can stop smokers.. all these alternatives will only create alternate problems for everyone incl. the smokers, but not resolve the problem

The gain governments achieve by taxing cigaret and alcohol is negligible. Why they are not banned is- once they are banned people will start producing and marketing these items in black market which are not regulated by any law..In that case it becomes even more difficult for government to contain this situation..

prohibition isnt a solution. I agree with the price hike and ban of smoking in public places. However the implementation should be with some commitment, which i think is lacking.

Do you think its more than the pollution generated by all our vehicles? Why do passive smokers be with smokers??
I used to smoke 40 cigs a day for over 25 years..Many attempts at quitting had failed..On Dec 26 2006 i had my quota of around 40 and threw away all excess cigs in the house. From Dec 27 2006 until today i have not had a single puff..Ultimately it is your will power that wins the game.

That wont help. As long as you remember the taste and do not have a reason "not to have 2 a day" - you can't quit.
