Do not regret.
by Raj Reddy on Nov 17, 2010 09:31 PM

I understand the subject....

The point then would be do you look back or look forward. Time does not stop, you can keep regretting what you didn't do or did.... or get hold of yourself and make it happen now. What is stopping you other than the regret.

Chance lost is lost .....
by Discusion Forum on Nov 17, 2010 03:53 PM

I was working with a Tata firm with reasonably good salary. One day I lost my job as Tatas decided to discontine the operations of that particular unit. I was forced to join anywhere with even lesser salary than what was I drawing from Tatas. Later, again I got an opportunity to attend interview for another Tata group firm and 'present salary' column in application form I had mentioned exact salary which was drawing by me at that time. I could have got that post if I would have mentioned more salary than what I was drawing as the salary mentioned by me was just half that of the actual salary intended to pay by the firm for the post. Some organizations value the candidate by his/her present salary, evenif he/she perform well in the interview.

Life and its mistakes
by ChandraLakshmi Rajesh on Nov 17, 2010 12:42 PM  | Hide replies

When I was supposed to be studying hard and working on my grades I was busy playing and watching TV. I thought it was cool not to join the rat race. Though I did not fare badly in my exams and always scored more than 80% effortlessly I became over confident. This is what brought my downfall and in the crucial stage I came down badly. Lost my confidence. I still regret it as half the time I am diffident.

My experience says one should look at the positives in life in any situation. In your case u are accepting the mistakes done by you (or say happened to you). That itself is very positive.
Unfortunately since the last couple of centuries we Asians feel committing and then accepting mistakes of life is a big no-no to us. But the change is in such mindset is very much visible now..

by Vikram on Nov 15, 2010 07:17 PM

Able to lead a life..each every day itself is a gift recieved to utilise the potential to fullest..instead of cribbing like i could have,i would have,i should have will just add baggages to never ending wish list..

The next sun rise itself is a biggest gift life can offer me...which makes me humble, the graceful nature of my existence in one of the avereage sized planet of average star in an average sized galaxy ..itself is the biggest gift universe can offer me to give what best i can ..!

studies
by messenger on Nov 15, 2010 06:18 PM

I was a good student, but I ignored my studies at a very crucial junction, during my college years. Because of this, I was very low in confidence and struggled in my career ...
I am doing good now....but I really regret the times I didnt focus well enough in my studies..

If any of you students are readfing this, do yourself a favor and focus on your studies .....marks are important since it just makes your life easier for everything you do in the future and also helps to boost your confidence when dealing with people ...from facing interviews to your boss..
