he was a fool...
by PoliticallyIncorrect on Nov 11, 2010 03:59 PM

totally... you can win a few bucks by mugging up a few GK books and luck, but you can't become practically smart by them.. this guy is the epitome of that...

now his friends, who called him a fool are proved right... and I know, he must be a fool in the school, all that good game was just a few days of mugging of a few KBC books, and lets face it, the questions asked to him were relatively easier than the ones most of the other contestants face in KBC... even 1 crore rupee question was halwa..

Biggest mistake of my life
by Sushil Kumar on Nov 11, 2010 03:45 PM  | Hide replies

I used work for an IT comp on Bannerghata road and she was with another IT comp in the adjacent building. We would board the same bus for office. Everyday I would see her and decide, i will say hi to her tomorrow. That day never came. One day she caught me when I was staring at her, and smiled. It was so unexpected that, I couldn't react. Two months after that incident, she disappeared. It's been one and a half years, and to this day i regret about the fact that i didnt smile back at her. Dont know her name, where is she now, no way to find that out...

Going for the big bucks
by Vinod Jadhvani on Nov 11, 2010 03:32 PM

I was infact fooled by the rcmnt agent as he said that he wud be placing me in a big company of Rs 400-500 cr turnover but after I joined I came to know that the company in which I was placed was just a small upcoming subsidiary of the parent company and was being managed by a promoter who cud not even sign the chq correctly.
Learning:Check the company's credentials before doing a job hop.Do not change the company just for the sake of money,as else u wud repent later.

Decision I would regret...
by Nilesh Parekh on Nov 11, 2010 02:33 PM  | Hide replies

I am a software engineer by education and today I am working for one of the world's biggest company as a Tech Lead and soon going to be promoted to Project Lead.... although I am fairly happy with whatever I am and wherever I have reached... the one thing I will always regret is ... I SHOULD HAVE BECOME A DOCTOR!
I had interest in biology right from beginning and was one of the students in my college whom teachers invited for a group discussion, share knowledge on dais in front of about 100 students... I took one single decision that changed my entire life...
Instead of choosing medical line... I opted for engineering...
I respect the engineering degree I have earned, the college I studied in, the work I do, and happy about my knowledge and performance too... but the only thing I feel bad about is... I could have become a doctor... a Heart Surgeon!

if you have build a solid financial base for yourself i.e. your can support yourself financilaay for some years you can still go out for a medical degree,if not possible in india then abroad. if you feel so strongly about it you can go for it.maybe in countries like US you can go for that degree part time while still doing some technical job to support yourself! the best possible time was yesterday, the next best time is today!
