good pm only for rich people.
by amit agarwal on Mar 22, 2010 09:29 PM

because of his (manmohan singhs) poor suggestions india still remains a poor country. He removed license raj only to benefit rich industrialists. 37 crore people in india live below poverty line. what is the revolution he is doing so that it is wiped in a year? No food, clothing & shelter for them. Just keeps on leving taxes. lakhs of crores are lying abroad in form of black money. we are not able to tackle small country like pakistan under his leadership. being a prime minister he has forgotten how ordinary people live and what pain he had gone through. After all each one of us try our best to achieve the best position in life but how many do really succeed. There are many uncontrolled factors which should work in favour of a human being so that he rises from rags to riches in addition to hardwork. In a country where rich becomes more rich and poor becomes more poor don't we all need to ask that why are we allowing these so called educated dumb people to decide about our lives.

MMS -- Counts among SAPOOTS of INDIA
by RAKESH YASHROY on Mar 22, 2010 01:14 AM  | Hide replies

Nehru, Shastri, Bajpai and Manmohan Singh are the few names of Indian PMs whom history shall fondly recall as good sons of mother India because they all tried their best to value themselves less than the country. They did have their problems but they tried not to compromise these with love for India. Nehru laid the foundations of a non-alligned, scientifically-sound and secular India. Shastri lived values of Mahatma Gandhi and gave his life for the love of India. Vajpai sustained goodness and openness despite high opportunism in politics. Mamohan an academic-beaurocrat-turned PM has yet to be a politician. He also reminds us the simplicity of LB Shastri. He is the torch-bearer of India's growing economy during the times when the best economies of the world slumped, and despite lack of clear mandate and defiant corruption, terrorism and world pressures. He is reminder to Indian voters that skilled intelligentsia can also deliver goods while holding high political offices.

Indira gandhi. She saved the northern part of the country from being divided into Khalistan. Next she taught a very bitter lesson to pakistan by creating bangladesh. there are negatives to her personality as well but in todays time we need some strong dictator like her to rule india.

All these pm has diffirent time and diffirent situation. Pt.Nehru was first pm as country got freedom recently with the empty hand. In Mr Shastri time country was going thourgh with the limited sources. Indira jee was strict leader as that was the demand of time. Sanjay and Rajeev was in short time. but due to Mr Rajeev Ghandhi country has started in 21 century I mean computerised technology. Rao was well capable and intelligent. Since MR Manmohan singh joined, country was already in develping condition. Yes he utlize equipment in proper way as he is the honest person.

Why you people forget our ATAL JEE. Atal was a good pm but there some management's people were not up to the mark. Finally I can say, Only there people has a good Charactor, Shastri Jee/Manmohan singh/Atal jee. Rest of the pm was inttelligent and very deplomatic.

Mukesh, India wsa not empty hand at the time of independence. In fact england was owing money to India. It was Nehruvian policies which made India poor. same is true with Rajeev

He wasted so much money that once he left and Chandrashekhar become PM he had to put gold with IMF because Rajeev left exchequer empty. no govt in world can emptied the exchequer in 4 months. it si myth created by faithfuls of nehru family

Same is true for MMS. All good work of Atal's govt has been wasted by this man

MMS and blackhoked economy
by Denis Khan on Mar 17, 2010 08:12 AM

We have a GDP rate of about 8% and inflation at about 17%.
Indian employees take a deduction of as much as 29.1 per cent from their gross salary, against just five per cent in the UAE. Due to inflation, indirect taxation, and small change shortage, the net purchasing power is less than 50%.
At the macro level, about $ 1.4 trillion (70 lakhs crores rupees) of India are lying in Swiss banks. Some funds are allegedly clandestinely returning to India via foreign institutional investors (FIIs) and PNs.
At the micro level, the chronic small change shortage is fuelling the parallel black market economy. The disappearing small change is the Achilles’ heel of the Indian economy.
Further, MPs are reportedly served food at Parliament House Canteens at rates as under:
Vegetarian thali - Rs.12.50,
Non-veg thali Rs.22;
Curd rice Rs.11;
Vegetable pulav Rs.8
Chicken biryani Rs.34.
Fish curry and rice Rs.13.
Rajma rice Rs.7;
Tomato rice Rs.7;
Fish fry Rs.17;
Chicken curry for Rs.20.50;
Chicken masala Rs.24.50
Butter chicken at Rs.27.
Dal Rs.1.50
Kheer Rs.5.50
Fruit cake Rs.9.50
Fruit salad Rs.7.
Dosa Rs.4.
Tea Rs.1
If prices can be controlled in the Lok Sabha canteens, why not in the country?
All these ‘subsidized’ costs should be statutorily benchmarked as the maximum ruling price norms for the nation.
If Telgi, Harshad Mehta could thrive in our economy, why not the salaried taxpayers?

Perfectly true. He is a gem and pride of our nations. Till his time, the wait list for a telephone was 13 years, for a stupid scooter was 14 years. He brought the liberalisation and we get what we want today. But I pity him - that he has to select/ work with and be under the mercy of morons/ imbeciles
and idiots. He has to close his eyes and induct/keep criminals ( chraged for murder) as his colleagues. May GOd bless this 75 year old Sardarji.
