I dont understand
by SS on Mar 15, 2010 03:51 PM  | Hide replies

How a person who had studied walking miles for unit school, who had come across so many hardship in life, had recommended privatisation which makes richer more rich and poorer more poor. I dont Understand.
Why a person from so modest family has not done anything to the people who depend on farming and other small cottage industry.I dont Understand.
Why is that Mr. MMS who had come from a place where no school, no hospital, no drinking water was there didnt even think of water resource management in the country, never talked about it, except installing Nuclear powered Electricity and privatisation of PSU's. I dont understand.
I really dont understand why a person who suffered in his young age is acting such that he doesnt even know the struggle of the people in remote villages of India and eastern parts of the country to improvise their status.
I dont uderstand about this Man who says "I am what I am because of my education." is giving scholarship for those who study in a foreign University and dont he know how many poor people in India can afford to even know that.
What a person he is. I dont understand

Mr. SS, Mr. MMS knows all the problems but he is not the one who takes each and every decision. It seems you are from other party than congress so question PM.

If he knows the problem and is capable of solving the problem, then he should guide its subordinates and help them to solve the problem !
After all he is a leader.

Without pvt-sation every1 would have remained poor. Atleast now we have a large middle class. We enjoy the fruits of it. One of the central minister famously replied n 80's in reply to a question of poor telephone service that if some1 is not satisfied he can surrender the line!!

Dharmendra Goel , pkl. zafternoon, 1.20pm, Monday, March 15 , 2010.
i had met Sr Manmohan Singh first time in Dec. 1959 as i joined in the philosophy deptt. Chd.He had recently returned from Cambridge after his Adam Smith Prize and with a series of Quick Promotions he was Professor by the yr 1963, while, getting a D. Phil from Oxford in Jan that yr.He was my neighbour and a bit flippant in his tongue , but was very Polite to Poor. His help to Poor was legendary. He took good care of Class four service people in the university, that speaks of his golden heart. He was the first to sign a letter of protest and resignation on the occasion of a strike of poorly paid Employees of the University. I said to him you could have asked me to join the protest , he shrewdly said that' since you are yet to be a Senior Faculty university may punish you..'Of course i pointed out that though i was only a lecturer, then ,yet i had served 3 universities and it may mean changing the station the wages I drew would be available anywhere else ,easily. But he pointed out you have a wife and a little baby Girl to support, this may be destabilizing the family..Showing his warm feelings for the weak and the simple colleagues. As and when any patron for help was needed in N.Delhi , he was unfailingly available to me and my family over decades. He is A great Student and still a greater Human Being..D. Goel

Dr. Singh is perhaps the best PM India has ever had. His silent demeanour, his statesmanly approach and his all round acceptability (except for a few biased_dogs_who_bark_regulalry_on_this_board) is exemplary! Hats off to a genuine person!! India is lucky to have you as our PM, Sir!!!

It is upto each!
by shiva on Mar 15, 2010 06:04 AM

The world has changed. When Nehru spoke of tryst with destiny at the stroke of midnight on gaining freedom, we were all idealists! There were few leaders & the followers. The world was just different & naive accrding to present gen! But the aam aadmi were used to hardship of a different kind. Our democrazy became wild with some starting to play one against the other! It was a pastime to stay relevant & continues!

When China opened their doors to the world, it also transformed our thinking.Unless wealth is created, we can share only misery! Some are leaders, others just followers! Leaders need not be flamboyant or charismatic but sincerity & focus will do! MMS falls into that category!

Yes, things can be far better! But the crux is, are we game for it? Nothing comes free! We want endless tamashas, sniping & griping but results come only from harsh discipline! US is fighting to stay ahead & with their natural resources, they can! They can be energy-independent when the push comes to shove!

MMS has seen the worst of times & knows things can go wrong. It is easy to criticise from the sides but to take centre-stage & take responsibility is another! Many work for others but how many can be the boss? That MMS has come from such hard beginning but continues to take the pressure is testamount to a man, extra-ordinary! That also is a clarion call to each of us that we can do much

Indian economy is grown rapidly close to 8% GDP even in recession because of Dr MMS.
Whwew Whole world economy will have a roller coaster ride in negative growth,Indian Economy has sustained itself inspite of global recession because of Dr MMS policies.
India is capable to achieve more then 10% of GDP growth because if in recession India can grow 7% GDP then in booming time can reach 10% easily.
