It is not about who handles better which affects the suicide rate. It is who faces more. Obviously its men who face actual stress as women use men for security and they do'nt feel the actual stress.

Yes women do handle pressure better as compared to there counter part. And I think the following reason helps women to handle pressure better.

1) First they don't understand the severity of issue.
2) Even if they understand they believe that some how men in there home will handle it.
3) If the issue is at office then in that case all the women crib whole day and relax :)

No, i am not agree with the opinion of Mr. Shailesh Kumar. May be his upbringing is like that only. how can he reach to the conclusion that women are not able to understand the severity of the issue. i think he is not aware that this is the world of women. to update ur knowledge i would like to highlight some issues :
1. our president is a woman.
2. our speaker is a woman
3. Delhi's Chief Minister is a woman
and our PM is taking advise on all matters of a woman.
how can u justify ur saying that they dont understand the issue.

we women give the respect to men. ur existence is due to women only. we know better how to handle the situation. but we just give u the opportunity just to make u feel superior otherwise we are far far better.

To add more to the above list .
4) Women cry and relax where as traditionally men can't cry, so burn out internally sometimes ..

Do women handle stress better than men?
by ghotala chara on Mar 04, 2010 03:26 PM

Given a circumstance, it is the bringing up of an individual will lead that person to take any decision either to pull on or to give up. People who have support can pull on and overcome the strss and comeout of the situation, lead a normal life. People who don't have support either from outside or inside (from spouse) may giveup and embrace death. There is no distinction between a man or a woman.

I think the women in India has much more stemina to faace stress then her counterpart generally. Few of them may not. This is also true that men has more stress then his counterpart where the fair sex is only a house wife. If bothe are working I think bothe face the same stress.

But i think in compare with working men and women... in India till more pressure is on the Men rather than Women..... till now in major cases women's working for support the family economy or for killing time or to make life better but for men it is necessary.......
it create more pressure on men as they r sole responsible for family condition......
probably that's why they r more worried than their counter part......
