Are the feminists awake?

I find this article extremely offensive, primarily because of the way it is freely assumed that the "hunter" is always a man.

I concede that 6 times out of 10 it probably is, but that too doesn't warrant such a sweeping generalization.

I have seen a fair number of women myself who are hunters and have seen people (yes, men) suffer at their hands - looking for commitment where there was the intention of none.

Many of the trends mentioned too are common e.g. the "I cannot live without you - but I can't commit to you", and the ability to juggle with numerous romantic liaisons while the other partner (yes, again, the MAN) desperately seeks a committed partnership.

I daresay a similar article written with such generalizations about women would have prompted at least some feminists to raise a stink. It makes one wonder whether our country actually has feminists or whether we allow pseudo-feminists to get away with their opinions!

This is not about this topic but anyway when we allow pseudo secularists to get away and give sweeping victory in elections, why not allow pseudofeminists to get away.

one sided

This thought put up by the writer is all one sided... but again it is being targeted to the people who are more towards lust and they feel they can get anyone.
There are all different kinds of people in this world. Mens have heart too some try to experiment it and some dont.
Let me highlight one point most of the adamant and egostic womens are a divorcee... some how they find a way and get a married to a person who would listen to them througout but moment they see it is not working they end the relationship stating difference of opinion they want all according to them and they are proud of it.
They are excel in their areas and they think what ever they are doing is right if you try questioning then u r wrong..
Lets not forget we are all a human kind we all need each other with all forms of respect.

even men who r most egostical and uncaring r mosly divorced , its 2 way street , u get watt u do . men nowdays want their daughters to b educated n with independent- thinking but when it comes to their spouses they chicken out .its not d womem who want divorces , who wants to raise children alone. well most men want everything to their choice n when women chips in , they feel threatend . marriage or relationships r two-team work , those who understand this r idiots

Biased Article
by Kedar More on Jan 08, 2010 03:14 PM

This is a very biased article, only focuses one aspect of the issue.

Rediff should promote and publish more mature articles which are wholesome in nature.

Only goes to show the narrow mindness of the author in representing a baised article.

Arranged marriage

What about arranged amrriages which take place on the basis of lies from both the sides. The parents teels lies to satisfy their own ego and finally sacrifice the life of their children. Its better to have 10 failed love marriages than one arrnged marriage.
