A scooter is better
by Sudhir Gokhale on Jan 07, 2010 06:34 PM  | Hide replies

I used to do long trips too. I had a scooter and it gave an added advantage. The front panel of the scooter used to block the wind from hitting me and I used to wear a full helmet with viser. I never got a dusty face.

I had done the Pune to Belgaum trip in 1993
by shashi kadapa on Jan 07, 2010 06:03 PM  | Hide replies

The year was 1993 when there was no express highway, no two lane and in many part of the NH4, there was no road. I was in a Kinetic Honda that had just been introduced.

Started at 8.30 pm from my home in Kothrud and reached Belgaum at 6 am the next morning. Lucky I did not crash, but I enjoyed the ride.
