Stop advicing YOU ARE SELFISH
by Big Boss on Jan 07, 2010 07:54 AM  | Hide replies

Premji, Stop advicing and start following them first. You throwed out many hard working well performing employess siting wrong reasons. You conveniently forgot the fact that the same employees worked more than 12 hrs per day in you company and you benifited so much from their hard word. You made them idiot by throwing them out when you are suppose to retain them in difficult times. The Indian govt should stop giving tax holiday for companies like yours.

Mr. Boss, I may not be fully aware of ur situation. But, when i read the above article it is inspiring. And of course, he is running a business and not a charity, so he is bound to take some hard decisions during tough times. It was not only him, but 95% of the MNCs did this.

Premji is showing fake profits by doing mass layoffs. The man just talks for the sake of it.

Let me clarify some statements made by Big Boss. I too am a ex wiproite. The 1st thing i want to tell is, laying off individual employee is not decided by Premji himself (Unless you are reporting him or his immediate team). It is your stupid manager who makes the call. Your visibility and value are determined by your immediate manager. If you are top of the line employee and more importantly a valuable asset to the Organization, a businessman like Premji would never let you go no matter what. It is your stupid manager who portays a smoke screen around you. Just imagine if you are reporting to a manager who has never performed in his entire career, what your hardwork mean to him? Perhaps nothing. He does not care what you bring to the table or how valuable you are to the org. he only knows to get the job done by you so that his ass is covered and his paycheck keep coming at the end of the month. Only good manager always recognizes the value of an employee and his contribution. And as a matter of fact most such managers are at the top of the ladder often times and people like me and you hardly get chance to report to them.

I don't think he said something about Wipro here! Take it for an individual if you can! Everyone will have some lesson to say like this that he has learned from his life.

All the onsite hopers & pay hike needing: I pity! What is the use is providing these lessons here… I guess Azim Premji wouldn't have complained that his employer didn’t do all these for him. Instead he would have conquered his world!

This is a great man! He is one of several Indian muslims that everyone is proud of regardless of religion. Not only is he successful and smart and well educated, but he is a patiot. His interview to PBS on one of his visits to the US revealed that.

These are good for message boards or for speach, but in reality these dont work as it happened to me. I followed these rules almost 90% but i have been sacked out as my managers dont have these ethics, even company has listened my voice.

These are great rules for entrepreneurs.

Also note. Entrepreseurship is chalenging for first 15 years and pays less than employment.

But on the long run, it keeps on paying, if you have the stickability.

will not join wipro ever
by rock on Jan 06, 2010 09:21 PM

Wipro never fulfills its promise. His company works only for profit. While other companies give joining in time this pathetic company gives joining late(atleast 6 months to 1 and half years.) to freshers. I will give advice to freshers to not to sit in this company because I am sufferer

acknowledge the winner...by SAMANT

Good article to Read !! How practical, dont know... and wonder how much of those were implemented by Sir Aziz himself on his way route to where he has reached now,but still hats off to Him, U have to respect it.
And regarding the views sent by sacked-off ex-employees of Wipros posted here , lets take it with a pinch of salt, since views of currently happily employed in WIPRO are not read here and Dont say ALL are unsatisfied, employee count of WIPRO would have been zero then..BOTTOMLINE is some experiences by Winners has to be acknowledged, like it or not
