Dare to think beyond basic Intelligence. Dare to think beyond wasting money, date to think beyond an unrecognized degree/diploma which is as good as toilet paper...IMI Belgium( no one have ever heard of it)
The argument is akin to Democracy on one side vs Autocracy, Dictatorship, Communism, etc.. The fact of the matter is democracy, however imperfect it may be, is the best option of all the other "cracies"
Management tests are the only way to gauge people based on IQ. However in Longrun IQ along with EQ plays an Important role, Hence out of all the IIM guys probably 1% will achieve success of mammoth proportions, that does not mean the remaining 99% will be unhappy. In all probability 99% people will have found great jobs and satisfactory careers.

I completely agree with the authors views. It is for the first time some one has exposed the drawbacks of the system. I have an MBA from Australia ( Monash university rank-3), where the chief criteria is solid work experience(at least 5 years- for top business school)the most important criteria, an in depth interview of the candidate, recommendation letters and evaluation reports by employers, past qualifications and lastly scores. Every applicant is scrutinized for rich work experience, cultural diversity and emotional maturity which he brings to the table, scores do get an adequate weight-age , but merely high scores does not guarantee an admission. All this makes the experience of the MBA programme a much rewarding experience.
