The chances of world ratio for men and women (if there is no female infanticide) would be 1:4.
For this as one of the reasons, Islams permits one man to marry 4 women. so that no woman remains unmarried and get into extra marital sex or illegitamate sex.
As men we might find it difficult to digest but its been long known that women outlive men. There are biological reasons why they do so eg: the level of estrogen in their bodies protects them from heart diseases until they reach menopause.
Not just this ask any mid-wife (or what we say in hindi `a dai') from a rural area and she will tell how many still borns are males.
Women have been oppressed and supressed since time immemorial and I think its this very environment which has made the female genome very resistant and tough. This is something similar to Darwins `survival of the fittest'. Women realised that in order to survive in this planet along with men, they need to have superior survival skills (at the genetic level). This research just proved it.
A programme on discovery showed how the chromosome Y, which determines the male sex/gender is becoming shorter and smaller by the day and how many years later it will vanish. Then there will be only women on this planet. Howzzat !!
It seems Scientist are facing the heat of recession...dont have nay constructive work to do. Just doing some time pass by doing so called research. Any one having opening in there organization... please help them .
