Is this women empowerment ?
by Thran on Jun 24, 2009 11:23 AM  | Hide replies

2 month kid is dragged in criminal case by 30 year old women. Feminist comment was this was done to get attention as how much she is harrassed.
A mother-in-law accused in 498A was raped by 4 police man, the feminist will now say they have empowered the "WIFE" by doing this.
98% dowry harrassement case are false, but judiciary does not have guts to punish them but instead SC judge like Markendya Kutju says "Bow down to women we all are bhookt bhogi" In other terms he accept violence against men but she the pathitic condition of this person who we think will give the justice.
2 Andhra Judges were arrested in 498A case, this judge will now remember tht wht they have sow is coming to them too. Its the same the way US utilize Al-qaida and pakistan the taliban and now we can see the empowerment done by both is causing nuisance to whole world. Feminsit/politician/Lawyers are always fooling the people for their personal gain.

these are only a few examples. there are lacs of such stories faced by innocent children and age-old parents. sometimes women above 90 years go to jail for the said torture of a strong 30 year old woman!!!
shame shame NCW- national criminal women...shame shame feminist...shame shame indian judicial system...

Stop pamperment of criminalisation of women
by Guest on Jun 24, 2009 11:07 AM

Positives and negatives come in both gender. Pros and Cons co-existence is rule of nature. Humans are also not exempted from this rule. Every human has both positives and negatives to their nature and this is what makes them complete. This is one of the basic rules of nature. And whosoever does not follow this basic rule loses basic respect.

Something similar has happened with women activists and feminists like Mallika Dutt here. In their bid to fight for the rights of women, they went so overboard that no sooner they had lost distinction of good and bad women. They had went overboard with the pamperment of women criminals, unleashing male hatred and projected Committing Crime as a Constitutional Right for women by justifying each of their crimes as a step to liberation from torture from a man.

Hats off to Mallika & her husband
by chitra anto on Jun 24, 2009 10:54 AM

let us all appreciate Mallika's without any prejudice. Unless we develop the attitude of appreciating each other, our own home will never flourish, leave alone our country.

women cause???
by krishna tripathi on Jun 24, 2009 10:49 AM  | Hide replies

note the following latest news,
1) recently...a father-son duo in hyderabad have been arrested in dowry case. anyone can think what the case may be!! if 2 judges can be arrested on a complaint by a woman, what more society needs?? (TOI, a couple of days ago)
2) a 2 month old girl has been implicated in a dowry case by the ex-wife of a man. the 2 month old went to jail and had to be released on bail. her name is Zoya. She was explicitly mentioned by the lady. one can imagine the level of misuse of these laws. these laws are stinking. (TOI, today)
3) a racket of women in varanasi is arrested. they used to file false cases of molestation against rich men and extort them with the aid of reporters. (TOI, a couple of days ago)

these 3 cases in 3 days highlight how the system is (over)sensitive towards women cause. they also highlight that women can go to any extent to trouble their in-laws. even to the extent of naming a 2 month old (girl!!!) in the FIR...

rest is for the people to decide. in the name of protection for women, laws are enacted. these laws are misused. hence the cases registered increase thus forcing the society to make these laws more stringent. this creates an endless cycle.

and still ppl say that violence against women is not taken care of!!!

this was the reason why women were given limited freedom by our ancestors....in all cultures even in Christian....they knew that more freedom to women will only bring injustice and instability in society...

This is one thing I support about Taliban and Muslium people. They are true when they curb freedom of women.

Say no to Taliban. Women in India need more freedom. The pointless laws like dowry law should be modified to make them meaningful.

Dhananjay,

But most of the bloggers here were the advocates of women freedom, when it comes to pub culture. Just archieve those reports during Mangalore pub attack. All of these people were strong supporters of women's right to drink in public.

And how to women achieve something great in their life? SImple.... just take care of your cosmetics and find a NRI or well earning bakra..... voila ... you are owner of full or half what he has earned hard... and you get to tour all the places and become NRIs whereas the boys parents live in old age homes...

And if the boy dared to ask you fetch a glass of water....there is 498A

What have 99% of educated women achieved on themseleves with there own hard work? Nothing.... all they do is time pass till the time they find a bakra....you are a loser...

very well said. People like this create a taliban society in which women are second class citizens.
