Best way to control birth rate is safe sex. using condoms birth control pills etc even though there are illetrate ppl in villages etc... to them sex education is important to which tv n media is the best solution in increasing sex education..
Girl or a boy make a policy for all religion. Give educational subsidy for family having single child! give preference in health and job matters irrespective of religion.cut abnormal sex programmes in the TV channels.Produce quality contraceptive pills and condoms
Some reasons for more children : 1. To have male child and keep on begetting children. 2. Jokers like Lallu Yadav inspite of knowledge act ignorant. 3. Some minorities are thrusted upon to produce children so that their religion grows..!! 4. Morever India cant bring a rule like the one in China as it may hurt the above mentioned people and vote banks lost

i feel that the points brought out by Nakshatra are the major driving force of increase in Indian population...The solutions as given by Rajesh Seetaram Hegde in this discussion board above to give educational subsidy for family having single child more so to single girl child, coupled with strong social security programmes for the old age people ('budape ka sahara' and 'ghar ka chirag' are two most argued reasons for the craze for a boy child), they shuld be rightly given preference/reservation in jobs, irrespective any caste,religion or economic status.Availability of safe and easy to use birth control measures will also help. Hon'ble minister should concentrate on real problem solving rather than making light of this enemy with in.
