Some Fraud
by Tathagata Dasmajumder on Dec 07, 2009 05:36 PM  | Hide replies

some people say that science does not know everything, but the beuaty of science is trying to know it and succeeding in step by step.

But these kinds of religious and pseudosience says they know everything without knowing anything.

At least people should read to know that a creator is not required to start the universe from nothing as studies show that a big bang can occur just from quantum fluctuations. So can life sprang up from molecules.

But these Past life theorists say they know it exists without any supporting logic.

Nowadays when religion has been cornered by scientific facts and rational thoughts some fraud are trying to make pseudoscientific claims without doing any research of any kind and using logic like it is very ancient, so it is true, how foolish.

I think the problem is people in power wants use these pseudoscientific frauds and religion to fool the masses and it is good business.

My wife used to work in that kind of a past life beleivers cult called scientology as a translator of their publications, the things they used to say are really funny , we used to laugh in the evenings about that.

Some people say without religion there will not be morality, what they fail to understand that morality is not a devine things it is just the effect of the evolution of our social behaviour so taht human species can survive the battle for natural selection.

The greatest example of socities going wrong because of pseudoscience and religion is islamic nations.

From 7th to 11th century AD islamic countries were doing all the scientific discoveries and started rational thinking, in that way modern science should have evolved in Arab countries instead of Europe, but arab kings shunned science and rationality to religion just for the sake of power, now see, they are one of the most backward societies

Science and spirituality!
by Crickbufff on Dec 07, 2009 05:24 PM  | Hide replies

There are several things that science cannot explain even now. The answers to unsolved questions therefore have to be sought thro' individual spiritual experiences alone!! So lets' not rubbish karma theory and philosophy completely and try rationalise events thro' use of science and pseudoscience!!
As for reality shows - I am not a big fan of these and its just to mint some money out of people's lives!!

What a joke. Science does not endorse the karma theory & many lives that a jiva lives. She is really fooling to make money for a athiestic channel like NDTV. A useless psychatrist like her will not know her own past lives in a hundred more births. Let alone knowing other peoples.

Your message is a joke. Just doubting everything that is part of Indian culture is your hobby. How can you doubt a very valid scientifically researched technique like 'age regression' used since ages by Doctors? If this is the first time you all are hearing about it, just google on the topic, you so called 'modern sick' people.

We Indians wish to live in a make believe
world like children and never grow up.This is the reason we put our trust on the so called gurus and avoid scientific reasonong.
But to see a Dr ( is she a medical dr? I doubt it.)believing this is really sad. Tv Channels will do any thing to up their ratings . One should not take this seriously.

It is a controversial matter, only Hindus believe in it, depression does not have any link with past births. It is psychological disease.

How do we define science? According to Webster's New Collegiate Dictionary, the definition of science is "knowledge attained through study or practice," or "knowledge covering general truths of the operation of general laws, esp. as obtained and tested through scientific method [and] concerned with the physical world."

What does that really mean? Science refers to a system of acquiring knowledge. This system uses observation and experimentation to describe and explain natural phenomena. The term science also refers to the organized body of knowledge people have gained using that system. Less formally, the word science often describes any systematic field of study or the knowledge gained from it.

There are several things that science cannot explain but an intense personal spiritual experience can!!
