If we were to beleive everyone has a past life - it translates to every death leads to a birth? How come the human population has increased? What about the lives of other creatures and animals? I don't know how can one even conceptualise such shows on T.V.?

every death does translate to birth and not necessary to born in the same form, dead dogs can become humans or rats for that matter, you can see the personality of some of the humans close these creature

Sir, you have a count of only the human population. We do not have the count of the souls(supposedly they infinite in number).
Hi Everybody. Need your patience here. The concept if past life makes a lot of sense. There is no other way to explain the disparity that we see all around us. If we see people around us, we see some are rich, some are poor, some are good looking, some have exceptional talent, some are born with deformity ..etc. Some people may say "That is because God created us that way and He is testing our faith in Him". This cannot be true since it does not make any sense for God, who is supposed to love all of us EQUALLY, for treat and test each of us differently. If He loves all of us EQUALLY, he should NOT be CREATING anybody UNEQUALLY. As regards Mr. Balasubramanian’s comments about science not endorsing Karma theory, all I can say is science is not perfect anyway. There has been many times in the past where science has taken a U-turn. “AS WE SOW, SO WE REAP” is a age old concept (even a scientist has to work hard to get discover/invent something ) and that is what Karma is all about. The concept of giving up one body and moving to another body is quite simple to understand. We all had a physical body when we were 2 years old. Now please think where that body is. Almost all the cells(at least 99.9%) of the cells that we had when we were 2 years are either dead or have mutated to form new cells. Old cells die and NEW cells are formed. So NET NET, our 2 year old body is DEAD. So is our 5 year old body .. and so is our 10 year old body.. and so is our 20 year old body.

..And the body that we currently have now will NOT be the same as the body that we will have 10 years down the lane. This is EXACTLY the concept of rebirth (the old body dies and we move to a new body). We REMEMBER what and how we were when we were 5 years old or 10 years old because the memory is stored in our brain cells. There will be a time when along with the rest of our body, our brain cells also die which is what we all PERCIEVE as DEATH. But hey, think what happens to you and me after we die. It is only obvious that we move to a new body … why? because moving from one body to another body is something that we have been doing all our lives anyway. The only hindrance to understanding this concept is that we REMEMBER what and how we were 15 or 20 years ago, but we DON’T REMEMBER what and how we were 100 years ago. The good news is we CAN remember through hypnosis therapy. There are guys like Dr Brian Weiss and Dr Newton Kondaveti who have done this. Our own Rishis of ancient India have done this in the past with remarkable effect. Let our discussion not take a religious turn. I know there are religions that don’t believe in this concept. My intent is not to hurt anybody’s feelings, I just want to set their thought process rolling. Sir, from whatever material I have read and from all those who have been regressed(I have met at least 15 of them personally), they dont remember when the transfer takes place. The pattern, as I see, is that they remember only the traumatic experience and the resultant scar. You had mentioned that your wife was working for 'Scientology' group. They have something similar called 'engram'. You could check with her. FYI: I dont endorse Scientology either :).

All of you must have seen the third episode starring Shekhar Suman.Here he claims to being regressed to 1873 , and tells himself as British Army Officer. On being asked whether he was involved in any war he says in 1865 against France.
But there was never a war between England and France in 1865. Infact these countries have never been at war after 1815.

Science took a U-turn becos there was mismatch btw data and theory and there was indisputable evidence to take the u-turn. The key word here is evidence which u guys dont care for anyways and which form the bedrock of science.
