That family is very innocent and may be the first time traveller. They might be paid their flight tickets themselves. You are a MNC manager flying with company expense, how would you know about the value of money. You could explain the family in this regard. There is nothing to laugh in this. They talked themselves in local language without affecting the cabin crew.

Very well said mate....Mr Ghosh just seems to be a high nosed smug...seen many characters like him during flights..they all behave as if the airlines are doing a social service out there...
Nothing funny in this, it's airlines mistake in the first place. I traveled from vancouver to calgary on no-frills flight. I or dered for a burger and air hotess told me before bringing burger, that it'll cost me around 6 dollars. Even the price was printed on menu card as well.
Dude u wasted our time with ur crapy experiencse...Ur sense of humor is pathetic.. what was so funny about it that u had to laugh for 20 mins...If I had been there I would have beaten u up for nonsense behaviour... where is rediff heading...this was crap..
What Mr.MNC found funny about the whole situation. And what rediff found worth publishing. All crap. Its very common scene for first time flyers.Everyone neednt be necessorily knowing everything about the flights. And which fligh is that where food is served w.o upfront?
I don't know if it is fiction or truth, but it is damn funny, and all the people taking high road here also would be laughing their guts off, if something like this happened in front of them, so stop pretending and just enjoy the show....
You know you should help ignorant people, but that doesn't mean that you can't have a laugh about it, that too when they are not watching, it is a harmless sin.......:D
