Term Recession
by Indian Guru on Apr 30, 2009 04:12 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Recession is coined by business man and white collar conman to con peoples money officially.. Look who's the winner..

1. Companies keep laying off people Inspite of acrruing good profits..
2. Banks have the best oppurtunity to swish of government funds and peoples fund..
3. Poor chaps loose the house as well as months of hard earned money towards installments. Only the interest part of the loan is filled but never the prinicipal.
4. Companies speak about the expectation that there will be loss.. but never speak of the past 10years of bumper profits..
5. There is suddenly a nexus between builders and bankers.. Both end up in the profit and ultimate looser a comman man and ofcourse the poor educated software developer.
6. When no recession, banks and businesses play on people to purchase heaven, and when recession they curse the very people.
7. Poor software developer puts up over time when no recession and is given the boot during recession.
8. Poor software developer dosen't know that he has been used to the core and till the last drop of sweat and is given a pittiance of money and the managers and owners cornering the lions share.
9. Poor educated software developer always felt right is right and wrong is right. With the burden of work tossed on, he/she had lost the ability to think forward..

You forget the mediocre sadistic HR people - people who can truly act busy and even snottier! They do love a good recession!

Real workers, people who truly add value to the company (like blue collar workers, developers etc.) get hit.

Most of the tales are similar with bit of Masala
by Indian Guru on Apr 30, 2009 03:58 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Most of the tales are similar with bit of Masala and spice added.. The few articles I have read have almost the similar lines..this one is part of highlights package "and my 3-year-old son still keeps asking me why I don't go to office" guess wht.. A 3 year old will be more happy to see his mum at home than in office.

"A 3 year old will be more happy to see his mum at home than in office." Wrong: when my sister was 4 my mother temporarily stopped working, and the kid kept asking "why mummy no longer goes to school" ( my mother is a teacher.)

Absolutely man! What crap! Typical hindi masala movie, where a boy keeps on asking his mom about his missing father (who might well have committed suicide after some false allegations were leveled against him)!

Lay off
by Nitin Panaskar on Apr 30, 2009 10:19 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Lay offs are too common these days. I would like to share one of the financial companies Lay off Policies and one leading Insurance co. the company has closed down more than 100 branches and had laid off one channel of branch without any reasons and later when the hype was created same person has come and stated its routine procedure to lay off non performers (well which again was not justified). In the other case the company had collected an premium of 500 crores and has started laying of ppl without any reasons. This is how companies are taking advantage of word recession.

why do you talk about the premium? is the company making any profit? if not, there's no point having people on the payrolls and get deeper into the debt and one day have to close down fully or ask the government to bail them out.

This is a tough time for everybody, no one is going to feel good about sending people home, they do it because they ought to do it
