BPL Loop is better
by ashish kamath on Nov 30, 2009 03:11 PM

I have been using a BPL connection since 4 years (postPaid) and havent faced any problems. But since the service is based only in Mumbai, when I go to Gujarat, they bill me huge roaming charges. Otherwise the service has been good.
As far as internet is concerned, Reliance Net connect has been superb and Sify sucked a lot of money from me without any service. Their customercare is based in Chennai so didnt make sense shouting as it was an STD call!!

3 Gujrati Chor... Dhiru, Mukesh, Anil
by Guest on Jun 09, 2008 08:04 AM

Hey guys...

Whatever you may say about your service providers, I would defend Reliance till my last for being the worst service provider.

KARLO DUNIYA MUTTHI MEIN...
DUNIYA KE PAISE APNNI JEB ME!

I have termninated my 3 connections 15 months back, but yet to receive a refund of 9,000 Rs.

Even after more than a dozen complaints. This is besides the billing scandals they do...

Same with Vodafone
by Manoj M on Jun 08, 2008 10:30 AM

These guys splashed big ads on the newspapers about the reduced STD & Roaming charges. I usually call using my landline which comes cheaper. After this announcement, I made a lot of STD calls using Vodafone & when the bill came it was with the old rate. When I call customer care, they are very 'Happy to Help', but are of no help. They say for the new STD rates to be active on my mobile, I need to send an SMS to some number after which the new rates would get activated on my connection. Why make this song & dance on TV & Print when this kind of cheating is going on with almost 10 year olf customers & they reiterate that they are 'Happy to help'. As of they were of some help. TRAI is just to help the operators fight the goverment. Nobody is by the side of consumers. I dont think I can spare the time to go to a consumer court for a few 100 rupees.

This is the way they make profits
by Abilasha Gopalakrishnan on Jun 05, 2008 02:21 PM

I am also using reliance and they hv charged Rs 30 3 times within a period of 3 months for something called my music station. Moreover they hv a rule that if not complained within 72 hrs(for prepaid) they dont take the complain. Also it is very difficult to get through to the customer care number in the first place. Though i had lodged a complaint all three times but hv been successful in recovering money only once. I dont understand how can they so easily brush off their shoulders from this. They ought to take some responsibilty.

Issues with Hutch/Vodafone
by Satish KLV on Jun 05, 2008 02:04 PM

Hi, Me & couple of my friends are using the services of Hutch, which later turned into Vodafone. Mine is a prepaid sim and these days I found out that if you call any Vodafone customer, 1st time it wont get connected. It'll say some stupid msg like 'Customer busy'/'Not reachable'. If we cut the call & dial for 2nd time, it'll get connected. What a stupid service..!!!

Another issue is - Whenever the balance is in Rs.40 /- or Rs. 90 /- and you try to make a call, it'll say that 'your account balance is xx Rs/- only, please recharge it soon'. When the balance is below Rs. 10/-, it never informed.

Also, they activated some offer for my friends connection, and when he contacted the customer care, they informed it as Friends & Family offer. When asked to deactivate it, they asked him to send a msg to a toll free no. 111. It didn't worked. 2nd time, they asked him to send msg to 141. 3rd time, they told it was not Friends & Family, it was some Landline offer. Even then, they haven't deactivated it.

They mentioned that, we've to send msg to the toll free no. either to activate/deactivate such offers. Without sending any msg as such, how did they activated this offer to my friend? After talking to the customer care rep's for lot of time, they deactivated that offer, but not ready to refund the amt which was already deducted from the balance.
