I am a Hindu and I eat beef. What I dont understand is why do we differentiate between different types of meat. If killing a Cow is a Sin so should be the same for Chicken. Lets make humanity the best religion and not stick to beliefs which are very old. And every person should be the best judge for themselves. If somebody wants to dress in western attire its there choice. Who am I or any party in TamilNadu to comment on such issues.

Sorry sir, No peace by piercing steel unto defenseless entities throats..Iam sorry but it never happens coz what u do unto others, u must b ready to bear when the same will happen unto u..I know Iam not gonna see any agreement in these statements coz i also had similar notions and i know wht it takes to defend this slaughtery ..I appreciate ur will to have peace but lets be fair, y cant v feel for any entity...u think its music when these creatures are forced to slaughter houses to bear out all the pain ...they cry when the throats are steeled and ripped up in pain .. And if u r defending for food, I had one guy saying tht we need to survive, But how many survived by these chicken flues, the mad cows , the foot and mouths and heart attacks and cholestrols and the list is on, transferred by these culled carcasses...Ur tummy aint a graveyard for these carcasses.. Lets show mercy unto our own co-inhabitants..some signs of being humane ...And when u do tht, Its a big feeling.It takes a lot to feel for each and every entity and dont expect every1 on the street with 3rd degree musle power to take up this ... I post this not to argue but to plead tht, for god sake , lets stop this bussiness of giving pain.Atleast in India there is this idea of being veg and non-violent but when u touch west, all they have is flesh and buthchery - tht they upgrade to humans thru murder and WMDs and bombs..And uhave these being followed in India tht is slowly rottin up .And we have the technical and global finance and blah blah to dust up the sins tht is done in and out under the cover... Keep your dirty shit and moral values to yourself, don't preach, if you are a vegetarian, be one, do not look down (or UP for that matter) on non-vegetarians.
Everybody should keep religion to themselves and not confuse this or any issue. BTW Sidin, the author of the article failed to mention that Tamilians were incensed only because she wore a revealing dress when she met their CM, they do not care how she dresses otherwise.
They might have considered a mark of disrespect, which is something Sriya saran might not have intended.

Let me be more specific and tell u what I dont like about old beliefs.
We feel going to temple daily and donation money makes us Good Hindus- Sorry I disagree, look around you there are so many people who need help. I am sure God would definetly forgive u for not visiting temple for a day as u had to help someone
We value God more than people who are next to us. For me God exists, but it is my Parents, my Sister , my Wife and all other Human beings.

The reason why foreign female tourists are getting attacked regularly is not because that their white skin, but their dressing which is inviting trouble. we can punish the criminal, but the best thing is to think prevention is better than punishment. I can bet you a girl wearing sexy dress will arouse the a good person also to make a crime some times.

I wish we Indians grow up, the problem with us is that, we have not tasted the real social liberation. Our physical inihibiton originates from our negligence for sports and out door activities. Our social life revoloves around clan, caste and religious activities. We need to create a interacting social space for people. Liberated mindset will release the positive energy and people of India will learn to appreciate the life better.

I agree with you regarding the meat, but when it comes to dressing, single women travelling alone are bound to invite trouble if they dress in semi nude clothes. Here I am not talking about moral policing, but safety.
