Inflation for all not only for Corrupt Govt. Emloyees!
by mahabodhi on Apr 13, 2008 05:06 PM

The sixth pay commission should not be approved if Inflation is to be controlled!Until and unless the Corruption is curbed the pay commission should not be approved! Most of the poor indians spend 80% of their income on foods !Let Govt do these to curb inflation for atleast Govt. Employes
1.FREE EDUCATION FOR ALL CHILDERN OF GOVT. EMPLOYEES -RATHER IT IS EASY!
2.FREE RATION FOR GOVT. EMPLOYEES FROM pUBLIC DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM -IT IS EASY AND SHOULD BE AS PER EACH MEMBER
3.FREE TRAVEL IN CITIES IN GOVT. BUSES FOR OFFICE GPOING IN DELHI DTC TRAVEL BE FREE FOR THEM!IT IS EASY IF GOVT. CAN GIVE STUDENTS CGARGE ONLYES.12 AND FIFTY PAISE FOR BUS PASS SINCE 1972 -IT SHOULD NOT BE DIFFCULT
As these such as FOOD ,EDUCATION and TRAVEL are the main things affecting life due to inflation and GOVT. as advised above give FREE to GOVT. EMPLOYEES there is no need to increase their salary! And let theFifth pay commission recommendation regarding PERFORMANCE be also settled before sisth pay commission!that issue has till date not been implemnted! If Govt. wants to avoid ANARCHY and wish good for poor sons of India then they should heed the above advise!JAI HIND!

Dear FM: Is the price rise not affecting you?
by Rajesh Malaviya on Apr 13, 2008 04:31 PM

The FM even does not know the meaning of price rise or is least bothered for as to where the inflation numbers are touching, as he is getting his reqular hafta from commodity exchanges like mcx where food and necessary items are allowed to be hedged. Instead of closing such exchanges a good shield is provided by the govt. to unsure that they operate very smoothly and the common man starts saving money for his funeral.

What inflation?
by Anand Sharman on Apr 11, 2008 02:44 PM

What inflation? Don't ask silly questions and invite the wrath of Kings and Courtiers. Commoners must know -they are always immune from inflation. Next time you ask - they will introduce more taxes. So please spare us of further burden by controlling your wild imagination about alleged inflation. You should have asked this question to those who earn from the sweat of their brows and those who pay their taxes honestly.

My philosophy of life is, " If you can't avoid it - enjoy it". Try it and remain happy.

GUILTY : Mr FM / PM
by B Kumar on Apr 11, 2008 01:03 PM

When we have two brilliant economists as Finance Minister and Prime Minister, then who else will take blame of putting middle class and lower class citizens of India in hardship ? Can't understand what global reasons are responsible for increasing price of Milk, Potato, Tomato in last one month ? Govt is soft on hoarders and black marketeers and still continuing with forward trading on many essential commodities. VI pay commission recommendation and Farmer loan waiver have been the main culprit. Forthcoming hike in interest rate will break bone of many middle class citizens who had somehow purchased their own house on low interest. I think both these economists are highly over rated by media. After spoiling the econimic growth these gentlemen will lead UPA to opposition benches and from there put blame on NDA for inflation.

INFLATION
by K N on Apr 11, 2008 11:35 AM

The General Price Increase in all commodities are expected. This is mainly because of Wage Revision given to Non Committed Government Employess without getting any Productivity or Benefit to Common Personnel
One side we are asking for rain to cool the Earth and also water
Otherside, the Farmers are given Extra Benefit due to Rain
Can Other than Government Employees or Farmers will be offered Wage Increase and Extra Benefit from the Government
Instead these people are going to be squeezed with Extra Taxes and Levies

WE ARE GOING TOWARDS DESTINY

ONLY GOD CAN HELP

Inflation
by Prem Mohan on Apr 11, 2008 09:04 AM  | Hide replies

Inflation doesn't matter so much for government employees and employees in the organised sector. They can absorb the shock, at least to some extent. Farmers may even benefit from the higher prices, although this is doubtful. Daily wage workers may increase their wages.

But there is a silent class which is being crushed. People working for small businesses as managers and accountants, shop assistants and other white collared people like that. Has anyone bothered to find out how they are managing to stay alive?

RE:Inflation
by SEARCH SERVICES on Apr 11, 2008 01:04 PM
Prem Mohan has raised a very apt issue. Millions of White collars in B and C class organizations as well as private professional service providers are the muted suffering majority whose earnings reduce with inflation.

When our public represeantatives shell out largess to Govt employees from public money -
a. they compare with the A class companies who are just handful, comparing with the vast number of B/C class companies.
b. never assess - whether the return to public is at all in proportion to the public money spent on them
c. productivity and responsibility of govt. employees vis-a-vis those in private sector

If our public rep.s took public accounting seriously and accordingly pruned numbers and rationalized the salaries of govt. emplyees, non-productive public expenditure would have been cut as well as country-wide parity of wages / earnings could emerge. That could singly contribute in controlling inflation and keeping the economy on steady course.

fixing of salaries
by sk maltare on Apr 10, 2008 09:32 PM

salary of president and PM can be fixed to any amount, it will not effect the economy as these are only two persons. so keeping this as limiting factor is wrong. it should have been otherway round, fix the salary of lowest paid peon so that he is able to buy his two times meal and school fee etc and leave a common man's life, then go on adding to the higher scales, then fix the presidents salary. by this way common man will be able keep himself alive and will not be forced to commite suisides with family members....

ATM service charges
by sk maltare on Apr 10, 2008 09:26 PM

last year when ATM service charges were to be implimented , for hours this was discussed on all TV channels, that it is on banks and not on customers. what is happening today , all the banks have passed it to customes, including govt bank like SBI too. in fact all service charges are being paid by cutomes only, tell me who is fool bussinessman who eill pay it from his pocket. this simple math our learned FM do not undersatand or do not allow people to understand. lot more side effects INDIA has to suffer for free economy policies , in the days to come. be it fee of education institutes or hospitals turning away the patients, b'cas every organisation is free to earn its ecomony. enjoy the free economy ...
