the comparision is in relative prices "increases", not relative prices! Got it? It should have been better written to inform how much were the said costs before (say 5 years back) and now.. that would have put a clear idea..
What a foolish article and more foolish writer. The basis of such a comparision is in correct. All items he (I dont think women wud do such stupid calculations) mentioned are processed to different levels for different uses and hence there is a cost involved for the process. Furthermore, I would like to ask how much is your consumption of all the items mentioned. Do you consume only 1 ltr of petrol and a whole month and consume 1 ltr of kores whitener the same month. Seems you learnt only multiplication. Not analysis of data.

but in petroleum products, co. are not allowed to fix margins .. petrol leaves refinery at 24 rs/lit and taxes makes it 52 rs/litre. govt. is fleecing public
The only fitting punishment for write a tripe like this is to pinch the nose of the author (who is hiding!) and pour all the contents he mentioned in his article except water down his throat! And why a misleading title! If snobs want to drink evian at fancy prices thats their funeral! In india water is still available free and people who drink them are not popping off with dysentry or other water borne disease! My grand parents from both sides live 80 years without any partake of so called clean/ bottled waters!
