by cool libran on Nov 04, 2009 12:46 PM

Hi,I took the pills for 4-5 days to delay my periods four years back. That was the month of December. But I found from the second or third day itself tat hmy throat is completely chocked and I am unable to even speak.

I am confused whether it the side effect of the pills or something else.bcoz i often get cough n cold in winters but never had a chocked throat like this before.

now i again want to use these pills..i m in doubt if they would again cause this problem or not.please share if u have any knowledge regarding this...thanks.

Fact or fiction
by Shashank Sondhi on Feb 09, 2007 11:09 AM

Hello,
I just received a message on the orkut board regarding an incident in Mumbai. Is the drug stated as harmful as claimed? Is the effect fact or fiction? Is rohypnol so dangerous?
------------
A woman at a Gas nightclub (Mumbai) on Saturday night was taken by 5
men, who according to hospital and police reports, gang raped her
before
dumping her at Bandstand Mumbai. Unable to remember the events of the
evening, tests later confirmed the repeat rapes along with traces of
rohypnol in her blood.

Rohypnol, date rape drug is an essentially a small sterilization pill.
The drug is now being used by rapists at parties to rape AND sterilize
their victims. All they have to do is drop it into the girl's drink.
The girl can't remember a thing the next morning, of all that had taken
place the night before. Rohypnol, which dissolves in drinks just as
easily, is such that the victim doesn't conceive from the rape and the
rapist needn't worry about having a paternity test identifying him months
later.

The Drug's affects ARE NOT TEMPORARY - they are PERMANENT. Any female
that takes it WILL NEVER BE ABLE TO CONCEIVE. The weasels can get this
drug from anyone who is in the vet school or any university.. It's that
easy, and Rohypnol is about to break out big on campuses everywhere.
Believe it or not, there are even sites on the Internet telling people
how to use it.

Please forward this to everyone you know, especially girls. Girls, be
careful when you're out and don't leave your drink unattended. (added -
Buy your own drinks, ensure bottles or cans received are unopened or
sealed; don't even taste someone else's drink.

There was already been a report in Singapore of girls drink been spike
by Rohypnol. Please make the effort to forward this to everyone you
know...for guys Pls inform all your female friends and
relatives....remember you may also have daughters and sisters one day.

Contrceptive pill : side affect
by mani on Jan 06, 2007 02:03 PM  | Hide replies

Dear Sir,

I got married six months back. We are using contraceptive pills (Mala D) to avoid pregnancy (Please note, we are aware of how/when to take the pills).

But my wife is facing following side afftects by taking these pills :-
- vomiting after taking pills
- periods twice a month / sometimes it delays
- excessive bleeding during periods
- clotted / thickend (fluid in nature) bleeding during periods

My wife hesitates to go to a doctor (as she is not comfortable to discuss this matter). So we would request you to please guide us the preventive and corrective measures. She has stopped taking these pills since 1.5 months. But monthly cycle disorderness and monthly cycle complications mentioned above are still there.

Please help. Thanks in Advance.

Regards,
Mihir.

she should see a doctor immediately.
Instead of asking her to take contraceptives, you should take recourse of condoms which do not have any side effects whatsoever.

In case of a burst condom for emergency purpose once in a while you wife can take the new emergency contraceptive called i-pill
