I think BPO is upcoming and has created lot of job opputunities not only to higher educated people but also to those who are only graduated.BPO gives an equal oppurtunity for growth and explore.
hey zia..u seem to b writing absolute trash..ur last article on the health effects and all that crap about BPOs taking care of the employees health was nothing but a heap of rubbish..having worked in a call centre for a year i know how detrimental it can be to one's health and have seen many people quitting on health grounds..and also how much work they extract and expect us to work without breaks and offs..sacrificing our national holidays.and u said they quit for better pastures..gimme a break..do u think everyone will b taken in by all the brouhaha about call centres?people become listless, lose weight/gain enormous weight and become so detached from the family and behave like they live in US/UK or wherever.. and career growth is the last thing one can expect..face it guys..there will probably be 1 vacancy for the post of a team leader or whatever and just one or two guys can get there..the rest have to spend all night yapping away in a firangi accent and live on Lays and Coke spoiling not only their health but also the ability to think and do something creative. research says man uses only 10% of his brain..working in a call centre or a bpo will render even that 10% useless..

Hai SR,
What U say is right only to some extent. Working in night shifts and then spending the weekends can be absurd. But, if U join an reputed BPO, surely u can overcome your health hazards. Your communication skills can be developed backed up your economy can become stronger. I don't about call centres. Working in BPO's will not get u detached from your family. Plan accordingly and spend time with your family. Food can never be an constraint. Change your food habit according to the client U work with. Go for yoga if you are more disturbed. The weekends will be sure joy if you spent it in an useful way. Any kind of job can make u happy if you concentrate on your work and love your work. Anything turns out ripe on the way U take it.
