How is your tax calculated?
by Rajaneesh on Dec 22, 2004 09:56 PM

Firstly, I would like to appreciate and thank the author to putting the macho mathematics in simple terms to enable a non tax calculater to understand the calculations.

I would also appreciate if the author would have provided few techniques as how one can reduce tax payments (as said in the end of the article).

The most important thing is to focus on the implications on paying the amount to the development of the nation. Yes, so many people tries to avoid as look at me i have also asked to tell techniques to reduce the tax payment. So the immediate focus would be educating the public of india to PAY TAX IN TIME, TRY NOT TO SHOW WRONG TAX.

Thanks

Tax on foreign income
by Mannu on Dec 22, 2004 08:20 PM

Can anyone share me idea about Tax policy on income from outside India?? Since a person who has lived for less than 185 days outside India is bound to file returns. He has income both in India and abroad. He pays tax on his foreign income in the respective foreign country. Do he need to pay tax in India also for the same foreign earnings...
