I strongly feel ashamed about the indian politics that uses dalit word to run politics. Its good that first women speaker is selected but the word dalit makes it shabby.

Hi! Politicians are using the names 'Dalit' just to fool others. Actually, no proper place was given for 'Samadhi' at Delhi for Jagjeevan Ram. On the one side of the yamuna bank memorials (Samadhi) for Jawaharlal Nehru (Shanthi Van), Indiragandhi (Shakthi Sthal), Mahatma Gandhi (Raj Ghat), Rajeev Gandhi (Vir Bhoomi), Mahatma Gandhi, etc has been given. For Jagdeevan Ram, father of the Meera Kumar (Proposed Speaker) opposite side has been given. Even after death he has not been buried alongwith them.

The true dalit PM for Congress was Mr. P. V Narsimha Rao. Madam was not respected by him therefore he was not cremated in Delhi. YSR ensured his body was half burnt. He was a social outcast for the Congress.

Casteism and Reservations will prevail in India **till** 85% of all registered marriages are inter-caste.
Religions have been so twisted ( with amendments/additions/omissions, to suite the religious aristocrats ) that i doubt that it can recover upto the extent that it was meant for...

may be imposing uniform civil law .. declare religion a private affair ... but the cost of doing so will be huge.. and no political party in India has that guts .. (personally I like the French model)

Removing Surname is an Idea which EVR Periyar followed in TN. But even a child know what sort of Caste Discrimination exists in TN (Even today there are villages where two glass system exists and there are so many atrocities that are committed in the form of caste). The change should come in the minds of the people.

@troll , atleast you agree that this policy has faults which needs to be rectified ... in our country basically implementation of any policy is pretty difficult, how perfect it may be .. but for a faulty policy, we know the outcome ..
