Maharashtra Elections.....
by Mee Mumbaikar on May 26, 2009 03:08 PM  | Hide replies

Taking cue from Mr. Shenoy Maharashtra will this time ask Congress for a report card of its Mis rule for the past 10 years.

Congress does not have face to show. They won convincingly due to their money power in the state in the LS polls.

However, assembly polls are a different ball game.
Maharashtra is surrounded by rapidly developing states of Gujarat,MP,C'garh,K'taka under BJP rule.
People have traveled to these states and they know the truth who is better.
This will work for the BJP/SHS alliance this time in Maharashtra.
Congress has given us:
1. Terror Strikes
2. Floods
3. Farmer Suicides
4. Power cuts
5. Flight of Industry from the state

Maharashtra will vote for a change and Nitin Gadkari of the BJP will be the CM.

Maharashtrians will deliver when the chips are down, dont worry this MNS trick will not work again.

I am sure you have read what Balasaheb has written offlate. This has stirred all Maharashtrians.

Even in 2004 Congress had a lead of only 10 seats over BJP/SHS, so you see Maharashtrians are and will be careful while voting.

Maharashtra can never top the list of industrialised states as long as it has the habit of being against anyone who is a non maharashtrian. It is the historical legacy that, at least, it is where it is today.

Had it not been for it's strategic location on the west coast, the British, Portuguese and Spanish travellers and much later the industrialisation by all except the Maharashtrian manoos (Parsis, Gujaratis and so on), Maharashtra would have been way behind! This is not a fighting point. Just ponder over the fact. Radical thinking does not get anyone anywhere. Will the BJP get you anywhere or have you forgotten their last stint.

The lesser said about TVR Shenoy the better!

TVR Shenoy believes in asking questions for which he has no answer. He only asks questions. Then he makes certain statements which are assumptions. If he were indeed a good commentator he should be writing about the last Govt's achievement also. One Nuclear deal is enough to prove the toughness of the govt and it is the tough that the Indians want now. Not weaklings who criticise the the opponents during election time.

Its not a magic to put all ministers and allocate their port-folios in couple of days. Its a democratic country. Afterall election process itself has taken a month. And mind that PM cannot put all technocrats to run the country. The author expects TOO MUCH in too short duration. I appreciate certain amount of criticism by the author towards Mamatha, DMK.

I am happy that PM is trying his level best to bring effective government please all groups.

Please be patient Mr.Shenoy !! If you sit in that chair, you will understand.

You and Shenoy have to wait for at least 100 days to speak on this matter. If you can not bear to wait for 100 days, then how will you spend 5 years? It is still 5 years time before we see posters of the PM-in-waiting once again.

Mr Shenoy is impatient.
by Sukumar Mehta on May 26, 2009 03:05 PM  | Hide replies

Mr Shenoy is impatient, as if he has been an ardent pre-election supporter and as if he had worked hard to bring this Government to power. Now since Mamata is Railway minister, Mr Shenoy remembers Lalu as a better Railway minister. When Laluprasad was sitting as a Railway minister, did Mr Shenoy appreciate anything that he did, at the relevant time? Why sing praises of Lalu NOW? Is it because you want to criticise Mamata and MMS today?
Frustrated soul. He would have been very happy had the strategy of some "waiting people" to sharply polarise the electorate had succeeded. But alas, it failed. Hence, the entire tribe of "polarisers" are unhappy. Nobody knows what happens in next 100 days, but at least the intent is there. What did BJP promise? That they will build Ram Temple in a 100 days?

It does not take 365 days of sitting in office and talking to do work.People like us have been talking that all over the years. It requires will to get something done.MMS had shown that resolve and done good work. That is why we have lected him back.If the minister took a day off we should not complaining if they get all the work done earnest on some later day and keep the giving their best work .

100 days Forget It!!!!!!!!
by simpleman on May 26, 2009 03:05 PM  | Hide replies

Election is over my friends so as per 60 years of governance(right it's not rule it's governanace;amazingly we are still in democracy)no promises will be kept.Forget those 100 days even in 100 years(if MMS survive that) it cant be better. Some reasons for that
1)Food controller board is controlled by some middle man. These people have spent almost 10000 cr in either way(UPA,NDA).Price is risingto settle that bill.
2)Petro lobby already contributed for polling effort!!@ 12000cr.They need to settle it.Already petrol price is 2 Rs higher.
3)What to say about TR Baalu.Roads are not uilt and where roads are there it is teared apart bcoz of Zgrade material.(Although contractors are charging for A grade material)
4)Drinking water project is a complete failure bcoz of nepotism and heavy corruption in water ministry and board(Next civil war will be fought on drinking water issue)Not even 1 paisa of every rupee spent have reached to public.
5)Power situation is in mess.I do not know for whom benefit govt have served while ordering all the equipment readymade from US and France. They can be made here and US,France be a technology partner.Atleast 50000 Jobs can be created and money saved. No promise when we will receive it and power is made available to everybody.

I am earning 35000 in a month and my monthly savings is only 1300 rupees that is of a family of 3.Thanks to price rise and high interest homeloan.
Govt will do nothing not even roti kapda our makaan.

Con-gress will certainly take bold decisions like the following:

1.They will make MMS as caretaker of Rahul Gandhi so he can be groomed to bcome PM after 100 days.

2.They will make P.Chidambaram as Home minister so that even Common wealth games are out of India.

3.They will make SM Krishna as Defence minister so that he can invite more terrorists in India.

4.They will make Pranad Mukherjee as finance minister so that he can add more cash to the already overflowing cofferes of Con-gresss in Swiss banks.

5.Finally they will make Mamta Banerjee as Railway minister so that she can again make it a loss making industry to boost civil aviation :-)

anti national english media
by phukan barua on May 26, 2009 03:01 PM  | Hide replies

India happens to be one of the very few major countries in the world whose dominant media is controlled directly or indirectly by foreigners. The usurpation of control has actually been by Americans, much of it through surrogates of evangelical organisations that are in fact quasi-government agencies. Paradoxically, Leftist Indian political parties supposedly hostile to a US presence in India have been subdued with alacrity by these quasi-state religious agencies, which have been operating effectively in other parts of the world as well. In Latin America, where liberation theology offered succour to the poor, the very same neo-fascist, American evangelical organisations, working in conjunction with the US State Department and intelligence services, ousted them. In India, most English language media outlets, are, in effect, vying with each other to accelerate the fragmentation of India in consonance with Anglo-American goals. the proof of the same is:
NDTV:
Funded by Gospels of Charity in Spain. Supports Communism. Recently it has developed a soft corner towards Pakistan because the Pakistan President has allowed only this channel to be aired in Pakistan. Indian CEO Prannoy Roy is co-brother of Prakash Karat, Gen Secy of Communist party of India.
CNN-IBN:
Funded solely by the Southern Baptist Church in the US. It has branches in all over the world with headquarters in the US. The Church annually allocates 800 million dollars for promotion of this channel.

You have written a very small part of a mail which I received and replied.I am posting the same so that you actually know the truth:

Who owns the media in India ?

Let us see the ownership of different media agencies.

NDTV : A very popular TV news media is funded by Gospels of Charity in Spain Supports Communism. Recently it has developed a soft corner towards Pakistan because Pakistan President has allowed only this channel to be aired in Pakistan . Indian CEO Prannoy Roy is co-brother of Prakash Karat, General Secretary of the Communist party of India . His wife and Brinda Karat are sisters.
NDTV is a BSE listed company. It does not need funding from Gospels of Charity. Secondly a Christian organisation will never support communists. Regarding Prannoy Roy being the co-brother of Karat, please note that Amrinder Singh and Simranjit Singh Mann are also co-brothers. Being co-brothers do not have impact on ones own attitude.

India Today which used to be the only national weekly which supported BJP is now bought by NDTV!! Since then the tone has changed drastically and turned into Hindu bashing.
India Today was never pro-BJP. It is being published by Living Media Group since 1975. Mr Aroon Purie is the Editor. It has got no relation whatsoever with NDTV.

CNN-IBN: This is 100 percent funded by Southern Baptist Church with its branches in all over the world with HQ in US.. The Church annually allocates $800 million for promotion of its channel. Its Indian head

Nice one.It is owned by Global Broadcast News and Turner International. GBN belongs to Rajdeep Sardesai and Turner International was established by Edward Turner. How does a church come into the picture.

Times group list:
Times Of India, Mid-Day, Nav-Bharth Times, Stardust, Femina, Vijay Times, Vijaya Karnataka, Times now (24- hour news channel) and many more...
Times Group is owned by Bennet & Coleman. 'World Christian Council¢ does 80 percent of the Funding, and an Englishman and an Italian equally share balance 20 percent. The Italian Robertio Mindo is a close relative of Sonia Gandhi.

Sahu Jain is an important industrial family of India. They own the Times Group. They are of Agrawal Jain community[1]. Sahu Jains hail from a small town of Najibabad, Bijnor district, Uttar Pradesh, India[2].

The leading members of the family have been Rai Bahadur Jagmundar Das Jain, Sahu Shanti Prasad Jain, Sahu Shreyans Prasad Jain, Sahu Ramesh Chandra Jain, Sahu Samir Jain, Sahu Vineet Jain and Indu Jain.

India's highest literary honour, Jnanpith Awards, are given by the Bharatiya Jnanpith organization founded by the family. The group has also founded a few other awards that are India's highest honours in the field of fashion, movies and business, namely the Miss India title, Filmfare Awards (movies) and the Economic Times Awards for Corporate Excellence.

Hope the SAHU JAINS are not related to Sonia Gandhi or the World Christian Council.
