Thats your problem TVR !!!!
by AtalBihariAdvani on May 26, 2009 02:34 PM  | Hide replies

Like all other BJP fellows, you feel sitting in Delhi and showing your face in the television is good governance!!! If Mamata banerjee takes control of the Railway ministry from Kolkata, what is the problem? rather than sitting in the Rail Bhavan, she is directly on the spot to see what the cyclone Aaila has made to the railway properties.
In BJP, you have people like Advani, Rudy, venkaiya, Sushma who appear to their constinuecy people once in 5 years.

May be you are a minister. But your first concern should be your people. To make sound policies, you have to be aware of the ground realities. Or not?

And making a cabinet of 81 people in this vast country is not easy. You have to take care of all the states, communities and put the right person at the right place.

A mistake can make peoples' life miserable. So, even if the PM is taking 3-4 extra days, it is actually saving a lot of days for the nation. Nation is not getting misdirected by accomodating useless ministers like baalu....

BJP’s six years rule changed the way people perceive central government. People realized their power of vote. People realized that Roads, clean drinking water and electricity are their basic rights and politicians or government should provide them these basic facilities. The realized that development is achieved only through competition, so FDI’s are not bad and nor Privatization is forbidden. People realized that ‘they’ are the nation and their aspiration of becoming strong was quite fulfilled in 1998. The Nuclear Bomb test gave them unique confidence that in case of war, we are quite capable of taking anyone squarely. The firmness, with which BJP leadership dealt with intruders in Kargil, left Pakistani military as well as political leadership searching for honorable exit. Of course, the initial intelligence failure should be investigated critically and harshly. Nonetheless, a strong military and political message is worth applause.

The infrastructure that BJP government built or rather tried to build is definitively a giant stride towards economic independence, which we sought for long time. The golden quadrangle project, whenever completed will certainly herald a new era of prosperity in wider parts of India. The tech sector boom was hallmark of BJP government. The decision of government to not to interfere in the tech boom was one of the best decisions of their tenure.

Dont copy BJP manifesto. They are voted out with that joke manifesto. Who understood peoples' "realisation"? Only BJP spin doctors!!!! And they made "India Shinning campaign" soon to realise that people did not realize their "realization"!!!!

Still Roads, clean drinking water and electricity is a far cry....MMS is trying to provide it.....
And before doing any ground work, BJP leaders dreamt that they have provided everything....

result?
They are out of power for 10 years....and will remain so for 10 more...

HI,

And the best act was to give a free hand to foreign tech companies to come and set up shop. The Nasscom mafia played its role of trying to block it but this singular act of Vajpayee is enough for tech employees to remember him . He opened the gateways for people like me and reduced the importance of Narayana Murthies, Premjiz and other marawari mentality guys and allowed Foreign companies to set offshore and body shopping units here .

by Mee Mumbaikar on May 26, 2009 02:33 PM  | Hide replies

Corruption galore:
MUMBAI
1. The Bandra Worli sea link which has had a cost over run of 1700 Crores.
2. This project is delayed by 5 years.
3. The NDA government in the centre in 2004 had this project finished by almost 60% in 2 years and Congress took 5 years to complete the rest 40%.
4. Still the project is not completed.
5. The flyovers are all sham, horrible carpeting work.
6. Roads are always full of potholes, they have no coordination, concrete roads are dug up for some matters and then paver blocks are put in.
VIDARBHA:
-15000 FARMERS HAVE COMMITTED SUICIDE FROM 2004 ON.
MARATHWADA:
-The water table has reached to the level of 700 meters and inspite of that Congress government has allowed Beer factories to come up in the area.

Electricity Generation:

Maharashtra (except Mumbai) suffers from an average of 6 to 12 hours of power cuts daily.

Guys...wherever you have state elections do not vote for the Congress.

Congress should have made a younger Railway Minister..
by Souvik Jana on May 26, 2009 02:33 PM  | Hide replies

Indian Railways needs a massive improvement.... The speed of trains have not increased in the last 30 years.... A younger person with mordern outlook should be the new Railway minister who can bring in good fast projects that can be completed quickly. People who are capable to introduce the Bullet Train System in India and can create a network of these Superfast Bullet Trains through all the Metros and semi Metros. Then only it can really become the lifeline of India....

you cannot make bullet trains if it is not commercially viable....If you doubt, ask the French...Their Eurorail project is a failure....In a ministry like Railways, you need experience...What a youth will do? Run fast along with the train?

In India, serious politics starts at age 40. Look at Rahul Gandhi. He is so matured politician. But still he is not experienced enough to become a minister.

mamata Banerjee has experience as well as a concern for people. She will do the job good.

My dear LF supporter. To increase the speed of the trains, the lines need to be reconstructed on a different foundation because the present one may not support average speed of around 150 kmph. It will be better to revamp the safety, security and cleanliness in railways for now. High cost projects like bullet train etc. can take a backseat for now. If the safety, security, cleanliness and punctuality improves, more people will take to railways irrespective of the speed. I personally prefer train journey any day compared to flight journeys.

Congress achieved only dividing the nation further
by S S on May 26, 2009 02:33 PM

Latest in the series of controversies centred on the Congress party’s fixation with Muslim grievances is the data collection exercise involving the Indian Armed Forces.
It is irrelevant and mischievous to mention about caste-based divisions in the Army during the British rule.
Congress leaders not only divided the country politically but also militarily. The military officers and men of pre-independence India , belonging to all communities fought the WWII together under the British.

Pakistan got a ready-made army at its birth. When Indian Muslims got Pakistan they also got a Muslim army carved out of the undivided Indian Army. This army produced Pakistani generals and officers who fought wars with India — the first full scale war being in 1965. This is history in living memory.

The Congress party having divided and ruled the country for decades is continuing with its dangerous game and monstrous thinking of doing a head count for the Army now.
