yes he is big chamcha of great indian dynasty and also sufficiently anti-Hindu. he deserves to become a minister
Slowly and steadily, the younger generation started liking congress for thier wiseful steps in selecting the ministry. This is a BIG chance for Cong to make a mark in next five years. I can be sure that Krishna will deliver more tha expected. PC will be fine there, however I am not sure if Pranab would do any good, however Kamal Nath could prove really good Best of lucks MMSji

it is very uncharitable to say such words about Pranab da ...esp after how much he put his heart for the nuke deal ... he is PM material ... way to go Pranab Da ..
though i am not congi supporter ... only because of guys like MMS and Pranab i have respect for congi party
Re: Re: Re: Not party but the men

this is true ... MMS is top dog of congi only because sonia thinks he is loyal to Family ... Pranab probably would always place nations interest above all else and will not give a damn to what Family wants ... that is why despite being one of most capable persons of India he is not the PM.
however I should hastily add that I do not think that MMS would betray the nation under any circumstances .... we are lucky that sonia trusts MMS rather than some real jerko like Antulay
I was a staunch critic of congress and hated with passion till now. However, I see new fresh air in the policy of this. Especially, I like Rahul for what he is doing, at least, for now. he opposed Lallu. i don’t want to see hung government with Karat and Lallu make statements like India is their back yard.
We can’t hate Rahul Gandhi for his dynasty. He could have taken some ministry but he did not. He seems to be a nice guy. Let us give him a chance and credit.
Well, BJP is not a bad party and I would like to sit them in opposition with quite a few seats. This can make the ruling party to be extra careful in what they do.

100% correct, what a relief and delight it is to see ppl like Arjun Singh, Lalu Yadav, Paswan out of the cabinet. Additionally no such minority appeasement words like "secular and communal" so far. In addition, I am so glad to see Paswan out, the sob was keen on reservations in pvt sector and recently invented a word "maha-dalit".

see how bjp in karnataka start buying MLA from opposite parties congress and JDS throgh operation kamal to have majority in the state. congress UPA also at centre could do the same and get complete 272 majorty. i doubt congress will do such act. but bjp supporter never see the fault of their own party wrong doing. I am not saying congress is better, they have to do much better to develop country. one area they lack completely is on corruption. hope they give better gov this time

Good intentions are NOT enough ! A person needs brains, guts, judgement, vision, integrity, etc. to be a good leader !
As for Congress leaders, we can safely say they all lack judgement, brainsm guts and integrity.

you can't blame a party for individual lacking. yes, in democracy, it would be hard for one individual to act to his wish even though it could be a good one. that is the darker side of democracy to be frank.
however, some strong individuals can do what they want no matter what. the best example is T N Seshan. who new about the election commission before he came to power? he changed the entire electoral process single handedly. basically, we indians lack the guts, not just congress. what is that we have achieved big in the world lately?
Re: Re: Re: i like congress now..

very true Nayak ... even BJP which thumps its chest at every oportunity is not really gutsy by global standards ... they seem gutsy only by low indian standards ... and even then there is not much difference between them and congi ...

Just another Mumbai style attack and these greats will go in tailspin! They are basically sychopants. Some of the Ministers are well educated, honest and sincere, but they may not be the best the nation has to offer. Inspite of so many congress Governance, India's stock is low due to mass poverty, mainly due to corruption of the COngress party.
I do not understand how people like Murali Deora, SM Krishna, etc who have not contested elections are taken into the cabinet. We cannot complain much as the PM himself has never contested elections. Is it not a loophole of getting into Rajya Sabha and then into the cabinet.

MI that should not be the way to think about it. Many qualified and experts are not contesting the election process because of the corrupt system. Think about MMS. We need these people to govern. That is why I like the American system of selecting president. The president has the absolute power to select experts in each field the head the ministry. We need to get the intellectual generation of India to contest elections and govern the people.

I totally agree with your statement . Absolute bunch of selfish politics . Rajya Sabha is now become a forum for rewarding political loyalists and putting them into plum ministries ..

I dont know about others but SM Krishna has proved his mettle and India needs a dynamic and result oriented Foreign Minister at this crucial juncture.

why not man? isnt he qualified? he has degree from oxford and have u seen him talking? he is not someone who took Dawood to dubai in the private plane.
yes, credit should go at the talent. i like this new congress. they seem to be bit different from their dynasty.
I wish Manmohan Singhji a very bright success. You will always be an amazing Prime Minister. With these portfolios, India will definately be recognized all over the world.
in the uk minsters and MPs are being questioned and shammed by press for their csah claims for second home expenses not more than 20 to 30 thousand pounds, that too they are spending the money correctly, and submitting the bills.and yet few are being suspended and jailed and fined,in India our great country all steal and swindle few thousand crores but yet still they rule the country and people elect them again.

by Desi maverick on May 22, 2009 06:34 PM
Clearly proves what a bunch of losers Indians are! And on top of it, the MPs in the UK who were caught claiming a few pounds extra are thrown out of politics for the rest of their careers! Well, the choice is of the people.

The Indian politicians must be hurting themsleves laughing. The British MPs are hauled over the coal by the British for stealing peanuts compared to the Indian MPs swallowing whales.
