Whats wrong with ppl using their local lang?
I agree we need to have a common national lang. and Hindi is the most obvious one.
But that doesnt mean you ignore/curse your local lang. dude. Each of these are part of our heritage and each have their own history. We must learn to respect it!

UP and Bihar are the 2 states that are pulling India down. Eating away all the resources without contributing anything. I hope the new govt trifurcates the states and gets in some kind of basic governannce.

Agreed. We should have a Hindi only policy. If that means that non-Hindians will leave India so be it. Better to have a smaller Hindi speaking nation than a larger nation with 18 languages and total chaos.
Hindi speaking people must demand this.

First of all S.M. Krishna shows COMTEMPT for the supreme court when an order of the Supremem Court is not obeyed! How can this be a qualification???

Besides everyone knows that ransom was paid 'UNOFFICALLY' to Veerappan. You know he is dishonest and does not respect the Supreme Court.
How can you be proud of such a person JUST because he is from your state?

Besides contempt of court when Krishna told Sc that the law and order situation would worsen and cannot be controlled if he obeyed court ruling, the judge told him that he must resign if he cannot maintain law and order in the state!!! Only such inefficient persons will get porfolios in the ministry. krishna is a domestic d.o.g for nehru dynasty and hence got a berth...this is the fact!!!

We need educated and experts in the corresponding field to lead this country. Not guys dont have any knowledge about what is going on.

We have to study 6 years of MBBS to become a doctor.
We need 4 years of engineering degree to become an engineer.
We need traning and high profile exam to be selected to be an IAS/IFS.

The person who rules the country need not have an education!!! What a pathetic situation and hypocrisy. We then call this process a democracy.

Congress Model
by kailas deshmukh on May 22, 2009 07:45 PM  | Hide replies

It is great model to have party lead separate from the ministerial posts. I also agree that Rahul should get a cabinet post this time. You can't swim just by looking at the water.
For the sovereignty of nation and democracy we need another strong party. BJP should appoint Modi as party president. So not chasing for PM post, he would do a wonderful job to reform the BJP for next election. One strong party is not good for democracy. No matter how good leader they have.

I could not agree with you more on this topic. We need to advocate for maximum 3 or 4 parties in the nation. There should be performance evaluation models for ministers too. I would like to have more intellectual people to come to this forum. BJP or Congress does not matter, we need good stable governments.

Want a refuge ? Pls convert. We will channalise your ability.,
by Raju Dalit on May 22, 2009 07:33 PM

All crimanls who want a refuge, should convert, we will channelise tNEWBURGH, N.Y. – The four men accused of plotting to bomb New York City synagogues and shoot down military airplanes with missiles are down-and-out ex-convicts living on the margins in a faded industrial city.

One is a petty criminal who spent a day in 2002 snatching purses and shooting at people with a BB gun from an SUV. His lawyer calls him "intellectually challenged."

Three have histories of drug convictions, one of them for selling narcotics in a school zone. The man prosecutors portrayed as the instigator of the scheme said he smoked pot the day he planned to blow up the temples.

They went to Wal-Mart for cameras to photograph their targets and had to call around to various contacts to get guns, prosecutors said.

But if they sometimes seemed amateurish, the men were dangerous people fueled by their hatred for Jews and America, prosecutors said. The plotters managed to get their hands on what they thought were lethal explosives and a surface-to-air missile system, only to find out that they were inert devices supplied by the FBI in a sting operation.

"It's hard to envision a more chilling plot," assistant U.S. attorney Eric Snyder said. "These are extremely violent men."

A group of religious leaders, including rabbis, priests and an imam, were to meet Friday morning at one of the targeted synagogues, the Riverdale Jewish Center in the Bronx, to thank authorities. Rabbi Bob K

Great Hopes for India
by Joji on May 22, 2009 07:33 PM

I think this ministry is going to be very crucial in the Indian politics.

We have to respect Sonia a lot. She could have done easily this. Initially I thought she wanted a puppet PM in MMS. But she was giving MMS the perfect oppurtunity not to think about the party, only think about the country.

Positives:
Sonia and Rahul sent a great message to Karunanidhi about corrupt politicians

Pick or Antony, MMS, SM Krishna in the ministr

Things I dont like:

Pranab retained as Finance Minister
Rahul needed to be in the ministry to have experience of administration especially if he is the next PM candidate.

It doesn't matter what I like or not. If the country is going in the positive direction, I am extending my full support. JAI HO and JAI HIND.

BJP should be ready to rectify their mistakes by changing Advani and Murali Manohar Joshi. We want experts in the field to govern, not politicians. We want Arun Jaitley and Arun Shuri like, Sushma Swaraj like people. I respect Advani, but I dont think he has sharpness to lead this country. MODI is far better than Advani.

My full support to MMS, Sonia and team. Let this be the end of corrupt politicians' era in India. BHARAT MATA KI JAI.
