As LG said that no one has to feel so tickled because UPA got 205 seats ,the day the people of India know their minds will be a day to celebrate.I am not fighting for any party,I am also giving the devil their dues,on their winning game because a lot of hard work and intelligence is required to win,if only our politiical parties would put in as much hard work and intelligence towards the progress of our country,India would have something to boast about, there is too much time money and corruption within, wasted in the manipulation game and as Winston Churchill rightly said "democracy gets what it deserves" so we have to first educate our people, then I will believe in the losing and winning game.

Dear Mr. K Subrahmanyam,
I totally agree of what you have written in this article. I am a supporter of the nuclear we signed with the USA.
"A non-aligned and isolated India would have been a vulnerable target for the nuclear-armed Pakistani jihadis to bleed it through a thousand cuts" but an aligned India is still bleeding through thousand cuts by Pakistani Terrorists. Do you have any knowledge how many bomb blast took place in 2008 alone? Why is our Govt. so weak as far as taking strong action against Terrorists? Like USA, China why can not we take similar strong action in this matter?

Mr sunil first of all please dont compare India with Usa and china. First we should have learned, commited, selfless crime free politicians to rule india to make it stronger which will never happen in India. Why think about movie type action by usa and china?

That does not mean we should not take strong action. By not doing so, we are seen feeble. A strong 'political will' like Srilanka can work wonders.

Please sing his bhajans as you desire but at least base these on facts. No one in Economics profession will put Mr Singh in the category of "great" economists (eg, Dr Bhagawati). He has been an economic babu all his life until he became a neta. He was a top policy advisor of Indira Gandhi in 70's - the worst economic regime which imposed most regressive /ruinous economic polices, some of which continue to haunt us even today. He was RBI governor when banks were forced to give away billions in the infamous Rajiv Loan Melas, ruining our banking sector. Some great economist indeed.
And, Mr Singh is on record opposing Pokharan II in 1998 without which there would have been no nuke deal. Some strategist / statesman indeed.

Dear Takur, i am so glad that you have also noticed that how for last few months all the discussion boards on various sites were mobbed by the saffron supporters. Loooking at their strange names i guess most of them were put on the job by the party. I certainly do not belong to any party but was taken back with the venom and insults thrown on the PM and Gandhi family. Mr Advani was being praised like a God and support of Varun Gandhi was looking so odd. But well never say die is what the Nazis tought the cader based parties. The amount of propoganda by saffron parties was unseen and unheard of ever before. Thank God the voter could retain its balance and sanity. thanks.

poor BJP didn't realise that, people who spend time in internet forums and posting comments on blog do not form majority of indian population..

i reaslised from their manifesto that they still rely heavily on urban population and sector...and you cannot win election with that!!!

Dear deetee, have some shame and accept the defeat with grace. Even now hurling abuses on the PM of the country. Thanks you are breathing in a democracy. Even the saffron Govt backed by the RSS wont hasitate to deal with such act differently. Please put good arguements on behalf of the party you support and not abuse.
