Hypocrites
by New York on May 18, 2009 04:22 PM

* Communist leaders in India are real hypocrites.
* They advocate anti-capitalism to Indians.
Almost all Communist leaders in India have sent their sons and daughters to America as immigrants in the pretext of higher studies.

The Commies cannot even keep their own selves united, and have been back-stabbing each other -- brothers from the same Father-- how can one expect them to honour their agreements with other parties having different idealogies and goals. Alliances are made only as a matter of convenience, and all that talk about keeping the good of the country in mind is only simple rhetoric and doublespeak. Give the communists power and you will have a totalitarian regime breathing down your necks, curtailment of minimum freedoms, no liberty to speak, practice and do things we are so used to doing in free India. Remember the "glorious" days of International Communism, when BIG BROTHER was always watching you !!!

The Karats, Prakash and Brinda, will ensure the demise of the communist movement in the country. Just see their bonhomie with the archcasteist BSP czarina from UP or capitalist Patnaik of Orissa. The designer safaris and saris of the couple tell the whole story.

well thats a dashing reply, but on the whole BJP should change their strategy, its not only upper caste Hindus who are part of India now,but its Christians,LowerCasteHindus,Muslims and Sikhs ,what BJP should concentrate is to win their confidence or else for them getting absolute majority in parliament is quite not possible

Yes, BJP need to start coming to main stream with whole India. Not like Congress, who are only for minorities. When majority will come to sense, it will be BJP which will be svavier for all citizens of India. Congress has been only exploiting them and still doing it. See the SLUMS all over in India. Is it counrty worth living or touring.

Funny communists
by Sree Kumar on May 18, 2009 03:41 PM

Why should CPI see Tharoor's touching the feet of Govinda Pillai is an act of blasphemy? It is as stupid an idea as the argument that shaking hands with Modi had made Nitish Kumar communal.

Fact is people of India have rejected communist parties. Now how does it matter whether their candidates lose by a margin of 1 lac votes or 80000 votes?

Sitting in UN high office ,if he didn't done anything for India,Congress is not a naive party to give him ticket and also make sure that he wins the election to see him in the parliament(definately there should have been some strong reason to utilise his services and contacts in International level, for the betterment of country)
