Blame Game in NDA
by Manbir Singh on May 17, 2009 06:42 PM  | Hide replies

These are not the real reason for defeat. Indian wants younger leader to take the contry to mid of the century. Old above 65 should retire (except 3-4 %) in each party. Indians have understand that oldeeeeeeeeees are not required any more to lead the country. What Varun or Modi must have done to rest of the India. It is bulshit but, every reason must be explored by major PARTY (INC & BJP as others are only trying to destablised the country).

We don't need Sharad Yadav, Sharad Powar, Mayawati, Mulayam and all Communist to be grounded for better future of the country as these people fight National Election on Local Issues. Very Bad. They must understand the issues them self first before voter understan them.

So it is my appeal to both National Parties to work from the bottom and try to keep the contry together and marginalised local Parties for India's future.

Modi with all his black magic was able to improve the tally in his own state by mere one seat. While in every other state he campaigned, NDA lost. So guess its an eye opener for sanghis that communal politics has an expiry date too.

by Sameer on May 17, 2009 06:37 PM  | Hide replies

BJP and their supporters always believed and I think some fools still believe that India is secular because musl1ms want it to be secular but they forget that the truth is that India is secular because h1ndus want it to be secular. BJP will have to come back as a new party with a secular image to be able to form a govt at the centre.

Yes and hence no party can rule India by being on the extreme right or left of the politics. It has to be centrist all inclusive party like Congress.

JD-U got immensly benefited by the break of Cong-Lalu
by Fact Speaker on May 17, 2009 06:37 PM  | Hide replies

The votes which would have gone to a single party between Congress and Lalu had they had an alliance in Bihar, they got split and hence JD-U was able to win most of the seats in Bihar..

Similarly, Congress got benefited in UP by the divide of musa1maans vote between SP and BSP due to SP having tie-up with kalyan singh in UP, had SP not done tie-up with kalyan singh, congress would not have got these many LS seats in UP..

Nitish Kumar practically banned varun and modi from campaigning in Bihar. He got minority vote for development and peace.

Even if they would have fought it together...the same fate was waiting for them. Just look at the margin by which they lost. Its a huge.
What else to tell about their defeat when ram vilas Paswan was defeated from hajipur..a place from where he never lost and created world record in guinees book world record of winning with maximum margins! Only he did not loose his seat but his party too did not get a single seat!
Same with lalu yadav...who lost from patliputra seat from where it was never expected for him. Here again the margin was big.

The public of Bihar has shown lot more matuirty than UP..and it is not not religion or cast based politics which would win votes...its now entirely different and more progressive than UP.
Not a single bahubali could even win in Bihar..a big stamp of win of democracy and desire for good governance shown by Nitish Kumar, a really astute politician who could be a role model to follow in the rest of nation.

SHARD YADAV THE GOWDA OF NORTH
by rumwhisky on May 17, 2009 06:29 PM  | Hide replies

Shard Yadav is another greedy politician like Ajith Singh who are very greedy without any ideas, they just want to make money, now he's after Nitish Kumar, first with George Fernandes, then dumped him, first with BJP, now making all unwanted statements, must be thinking of licking Congress asss... very shameful politicians, their only aim is to be in power, BJP should dump this type of guys and keep some clean large allies for a better tomorrow

BJP is not in a position to dump anybody. They have received a thumbs down by the PEOPLE of india twice in a row. MMS the so called weak prime minister has become only the second PM in the history of India to win a second term after completing full five year term. The first one to achieve this was Nehru. On the other hand the so called iron "man" of India is yet to come out and show his face in public.

Has he won anything? He has not stood for elections, so how has he won. He will now enter through the back door again and stay PM for another five years. As Jaitley said, he is the most clever politician who can become PM without ever winning an election. Nehru was miles above him. Nehru stood for elections and won them. He could have stood for elections anywhere and would have won, unlike the pygmy under reference.

To say that MMS did not fight an election is BS. He was projected as the next PM by Congress and people voted for him. INDIA voted for him, let alone just one constituency.

Don't worry. Nitish is not an idiot. He will do the best thing posisble. Sharad yadav if could win a seat this time..it is all due to Nitish. the day Nitish decides to finish him, he will be finished.
But one thing is serious to think for Nitish is that how he would manage the hostile UPA government at centre for Bihar as its the same congress government which asked them to return the flood relief fund of Rs 1000 crore and the state government had to do all relief work single handedly and alone. What congress has done with Bihar at the time of crisis is unforgettable even at humanity level. They had tried a lot to derail the development processes in Bihar still Nitish carried on. So it may become essential for Nitish to consider to support UPA at centre for development of Bihar too.

Bad time of BJP,Consider Nitish as its Leader to Save it
by Murli Devi on May 17, 2009 06:28 PM

The onslaught which BJP has faced is shocking. There is out and out leadership crisis and credibility question with BJP now. It has become a regional party now.
No clear planning, no clear stand on any issue, no courage,....this party is going through its worst time.

There is not a single leader except Arun jaitley and Sushma Swaraj whom people consider seriously. Under Atal bihari therewas a good flagship, now he is gone this family is looking in chaos.
Modi was misunderstood as national hero but he is limited to Gujarat now. It is better to copy Nitish Kumar model which could pay BJP more. And the day has come to them to acknowledge that even those are important who cover 1% population or 1/3rd population minority. Its not a Hindu country...its a mixed culture country, a human country and every one wants to stay in civilized manner...be it muslim or be it hindu ..none has got right to be treated unequally.
Hope BJP does homework properly and does not be come dishonest in finding its fault which include the fact that Advani was a weaker PM candidate and right now there is no suitable PM candidate from this Party if BJP alone is considered. Better hand over the charge to Nitish Kumar who has shown how NDA can win majority as well as stay secular and win the muslim votes with commitment, In Bihar all cast and all religions back him...the same model has to be followed in entire nation. Its the best model.

She's only fit to be the queen of the CHAMBAL VALLEY, she should take the place of PHOOLAN DEVI, no other post will suit her, a ugly DALIT AS India's PM, can't even think of that, not in this generation, after all the present people are dead unless mayawati has 300 years to live, She is UP's most corrupt CM, and she only knows to build status, to take revenge at the attrocities that have taken place, a Dalit born can't change, he or she can't mix with the main stream,
