The Christian conversion, I wonder are if such conversions are really "required" by anyone? I thought it is very awkward to ask such things, but if it is alright for you/anyone else to share more details around the "need for religion conversion".
Sonia and Manmohan's combined charm has worked. Now I would like to ask Advani who is weak? Definitely Advani's weak and he should think about retiring and playing with his grandchildren. Instead of addressing the real concerns of India which have always been poverty, employment, better living standards, farmers etc, they have focussed on hate speeches, personal attacks, communal politics, trivial and non-essential dead issues like ram janma bhoomi, rem sethu, amarnath, terrorism etc which the common man doesn't give a damn about. Rahul Gandhi has shown more wisdom, honesty and political maturity than all the trash talking BJP top leadership put together. It just shows two young leaders in sharp contrast. Rahul who has come of age, can speak on a wide range of political issues and problems. Second is Varun who can only propel himself into limelight by making controversial hate speeches. Its clear that Varun is not anywhere near the new emerging modern and capable leaders like Scindia, Pilot, Deora and Rahul and Omar. Varun better learn or perish

People in congress talk about development just ask rahul gandhi abt his constituency that what he has given to hi constituency...i dont say that BJP is great but atleast they dont have a dynasty policy .....an one of d biggest reasons some fools think that BJP is jst hindu party ,they do talk abt hindutva but they say hindutva a way live not calling hindu come altoghether an jst bang other comunitites ,.............an now about the development BJP was the first party in indian politics that started asking for the votes on the basis of development ...... nai to in congresis ki tarah nai ki using the NAME GANDHI JUST for the votes... i can bet JUST ASK RAHUL GANDHI TO REMOVEE GANDHI FROM HIS SURNAME THEN WE WILL SEE WHO IS WINING AN LOSING...THEY ARE JUST GETTIN D VOTES IN D NAME OF GANDHI
India is a Secular Democractic country not because the Mus1ims or Christiians want it to be so but the H1ndus want it to be a "Secular Democratic Country". So stop abusing H1ndus. The founding fathers of our Constitution were all H1ndus. If they wanted, our Country would have been a H1ndu Country in 1947 itself. Thank them for making it a Secular Country despite the animosites of Partition.

Malaysia is a Moslem country but a large sizable chunk of Hendus and Christians coexist abide by the laws of the Ihslamic land..... And Ihslam respects these religions too....
Henduism is the predominant religion of this land, that does not make India a Hendu country.....it is a country for all religious faiths....don't be parochial in your views like the Shangh parivaar......
Even if the BJP/RSS want to make this a Hendu country, they can't!! As simple as that!!
Try and condcut a pogrom like the one you conducted in godhra...the Congress government will cut you to size!!

1) you mean NDA ruled states are doing well in past few years, because of Muslim hatred? Muslim-hatred and non-hatred, are they the only two parameters left to classify things?
2) About coherent policy matters: Since when did majority of the Indian public start voting on foreign policy matters? (I just hope you will also agree, the voters will take at least 20 years to understand and interpret foreign policy issues and translate it into their decisions).
3) If BJP lost for all the reasons you gave, why happened to RJD or CPM? Can you explain that in the same context/basis pl. CPM has been supporting UPA govt for long time, so how come they lost?
4) At least here in Maharashtra, the MNS (Raj T's party) vote-share helped Congress/NCP big-time. So, for my state, it is clearly nothing to do with Muslim hatred and foreign policy.
5) NDA did almost at par with their past performance. 160 seats is not the end of the world. There have been elections (in India and outside) where parties have had literally 90% seats. so, end of the road for BJP with NDA winning 160 seats sounds a bit over-stretched.
6) "Most political analysts" : you must be more specific about this. There is barely any voting patterns/data out in public domain, and most analysts will want to wait for detailed inputs before making such solid conclusions.
BJP can't win even a single seat in these states which constitute 188 seats or 33% of total seats 543milnadu(40), Andhra(42), West Bengal(42), Orissa(21), Kerala(20), Haryana(10), Northeast(13){except Assam}. Without alliance partners it may get a few seats in the states of Bihar(40), Punjab(13) and Maharashtra(48) which together come to 101 seats. In Uttar Pradesh(80) it was isolated and marginalized at poor distant third. If the party can put up fight only on 200 - 220 seats how can you expect it to form a government at even 70% success rate. Unless it expand its base and revive itself in Uttar Pradesh in the long run it will become another Janata Dal which split into SP,RJD,BJD,JD(U) after 1989 elections.

Good comment. Expanding in TN/WB/Kerala/AP will decide BJP's standing next time, else they will be stuck at 150 mark forever. They are a young party, but they can not take forever to make themselves a genuine all-India party.
As long as there are no new hindu/muslim riots and public TV starts attending to other comparable problems (naxal/north-east/Tamils/Kashmir/poverty and most imp corruption, they hardly discuss corruption on TV), the communal/secular tagging will soon disappear, this will be helped by more educated people voting in the next election, voter registration process should be easier going forward. With voting percentage reaching 75% and BJP expanding into those 4 states will make a big difference in future.
Also, Manmohan Singh is good P.M., but I am not sure about Rahul Gandhi, if he turns out to be another George Bush, then that could also help NDA in future.
MIRAMSHAH: Twenty-nine people were killed when a US drone fired two missiles at a residential compound in the Mirali tehsil of North Waziristan tribal region here on Saturday.
Residents said that a remotely-piloted US aircraft which was hovering over the area fired two missiles at the house of Hikmat Roshan in the Khaisore village of Mirali at around 8am, killing 29 tribesmen present there. The house was reduced to rubble, while a religious seminary near it was also damaged.
They said that it was the third drone attack on the Khaisore village, about five kilometers to south of Mirali town, since the US forces fighting Taliban in Afghanistan started drone attacks in the Pakistan tribal belt. The village is populated by the Khushali Torikhel clan of Wazir tribe.

I have a Re1igion. I am proud to be a H1ndu. Atheist existed even in Vedica era. We are not at the mercy of some high-priests. Nobody can declare me a "Non-H1ndu" for not believing in some g0d.
It is not that going fwd BJP will have to come to the ppl bt the ppl will run to the BJP for help....u will be witnessing the most corrupt govt. in history backed by media and builder lobby... a party that has had a record of corruption and neglect has come back to pwr is certainly nt something to be rejoicing

bhasmasur, think after 30 years from now. dp u feel that mus . lim when there numbers increase will follow the same secular, demoxratic path that we follow as of now? will our women be safe? will we be able tp go tour temples and gurudwaras and not hav eto jazia? pleas e look at their history, current performance and then reply.
