Kangress needed to get a foothold in UP, Bihar, was unthinkable earlier but again, has happened Kangress needed to crush BJP, whereever they had established a foothold: Orissa, BJD unexpectedly sweeps In Bihar, Nitish gets so much success, it has upset balance between him & BJP. So he will start thinking of ditching them
UPA gets close to majority AND no one suspects that its rigged. Kangressi Channels(NDTV, CNN-IBN) are exact in exit poll predictions, everyone else is wrong (Ha!) Chief Election Commissioner has won it for Kangress. Just like the West-Indian umpire handing cricket series over to Australia.

I dont think there was rigging as such, but voter lists were definitely tweaked in metros. If even they weren't people who want to vote for BJP, hardly go out and vote. The media had anyways given UPA a pre-poll lead, so many just didn't bother to vote.
Congress is lucky in a sense that majority of the India public still does not understand core issues and decide either by local issues or goodies like loan-waivers, without realising waiving loans on such a massive scale is not good for India's GDP/debt situation in the long run.
Reminds me of how even in the US, people were conned by George Bush, who won elections twice.
BJP loss is loss for the BJP person; but it is more for the country. How long you can run the country on the basis of Reservation, loan weaving to the farmers. UPA supperted the reseervation in private sectors also. I never come across any company thay ask caste or relgion. Other thing is how long you can wave the loan of farmers. I know personally; some frmars take loan; inafact thar are rich. They wait the gove will come and waeve their loan on the basis of vote. Other problems is conversion inti Xrtistins. You can see maximum of the south and East have been conveterd it to the Xristians. Thses all are supprted by the congress. If BJP comes in power they can stop this. You can relize thses prolems after 50-70 years. BJP has long terms plans. Congress see only short term plans. Last thing I can say that the media is in the favour of Congress soppertd by foregin countries.
BJP can only garner votes of uneducated backward/tribal/OBC fundamentalists in states like MP Chattisgarh Gujarat. Modi himself is an OBC (They won Karnataka only because of Yeddyurappa who is very secular).
Most educated lot like the Southern states, metros like Delhi Mumbai etc. tend to go with Congress and its allies.
Congress has also snatched the chaddee from the RSS and turned them into cavemen who will be extinct soon.
