Any topic related to religion, religious leaders, politics and some other stupid topics bring in maximum number of comments. Eg. This topic has 353 comments as I see now where as Satyam lay off has only 83 comments and it was there for more duration. Is it because

a. People dont differentiate priorities
b. All comment writers are mentally retarded

Antoniomanio: Are you around? Are u with P........pe now and sightseeting in Italy?

stable government
by dinesh on May 16, 2009 03:47 AM  | Hide replies

we have 2 main parties congress and BJP. the others are regional or small parties. hence our politicians should think out of the box and form a stable government. if congress and BJP comes together then the regional parties and other faltu parties will have no importance and they cannot black mail the gonernment. if BJP and congress combines then it will be a clear majority 300 seats. this would be a stable government and both these parties can make a consencus and form the government.

Burn Ravan's effigy to celebrate BJP's loss
by Bharat Soni on May 16, 2009 03:21 AM  | Hide replies

India should celebrate the victory of good (political parties other than BJP) over evil (BJP) by burning Ravana's effigy like we do on dussehra. Effigies of Ravana Advani, Kumbakarna Naidu and Megnadh Modi should be burnt all over India tomorrow.

by ritesh bhushan on May 16, 2009 02:37 AM

Rinku Singh Rahi is working as District Social Welfare Officer, Muzaffarnagar (U.P.), Shot with Six bullets on 26th March, 2009 by local mafia at the behest of some corrupt officials of his department as he had reported accounting discrepancies worth Crores of Rupees to higher authorities. However, he survived the murderous attempt and recuperating at Subharti Hospital, Merrut (U.P.) but lost one eye. Rinku also wrote a letter to the Director of his department, highlighting prevalent corruption in the department.

ROHIT, THERE ARE SO MANY REGIONAL PARTIES THAT WHEN ELECTION COMES PEOPLE VOTE TO THEIR LOCAL PARTIES AND THUS VOTE GET DIVIDED .CONGRESS TAKES ADVANTAGE OF THIS SITUATION BY BRIBING REGIONAL PARTIES OFFERING THEM MONEY AND POLITICAL FAVOURS AS CONGRESS GET HUGE AMOUNT OF POLITICAL FUNDING FROM ABROAD.THEY ALSO BRIBE INDIAN PRINT AND ELECTRONIC MEDIA BY OFFERING THEM ADVERTISING REVENUE.THIS IS THE BIGGEST ADVANTAGE CONGRESS GOT OVER OTHER POLITICAL PARTIES.

Ash, mere dost, sounds like excuses for ANOTHER BJP loss.

Rural India is more than 50% illiterate, how EXACTLY will print or electronic media influence their decision? Do you have a source for this info on foreign funding from abroad? WHO is giving it, HOW much? Do you know for a fact that the BJP gets NO foreign funding?

Rural India is more than 50% illiterate, they are not blind and deaf.greatest proof of all is,you go to these areas and ask poor illitrate farm worker, who is indias PM?(many will reply one of Gandhi family member).this is called electronic media brain wash of poor people and these electronic medias are owned by congressman(many medias, one issue of India Today in march 2009 had tabular distribution).as far as foreign funding is concern,Boforce scam is one example and Gandhi's are trying their best to get rid of it (they even managed CBI to take away red alert notice for Quatrochi, family friend of Sonia Gandhi).Mr.Rohit 60 years back India got independence from Britisher but some people are still being raised to be perfect slave of their western masters.these people are victims of psychological slavery. Isn't this a shamefull thing that even after 50 years of So called secular and progressive Congress rule Rural India is more than 50% illiterate.Congress is synonymous to corruption.

Ash, organization by itself does not confer the right to govern on any entity. If that were the case Nazis were probbaly the most efficient administration. CPIM is extremely well organized in west bengal, but they are not exactly very efficient administrators. Organization and discipline need to be tempered with compassion, moderation and compromise. The Jinni is out of the bottle now. We cannot go back to license raj anymore. The focus of any government should be to uplift about 70% of the Indian population that lives in rural areas. Once that big chunk starts moving the rest of the country will take off.

Advani or pawar
by Ramnath Prabhu on May 16, 2009 02:28 AM

It is quesion of Advani or Pawar. Manmohan singh is not going to there. If NDA is near to 272 they will form govt else they will support Sharad pawar lead govt. Last 5 years being out of business BJP has realised importance of power.
SP Lalu etc will also not go with congress as they will not deal with congress eating their own bread and asking seats of Sitting MPs for their leaders

This always happens when readers criticize Sheela Butt. Rediff needs to submit to some kind of audit, or accountability standards. Otherwise people will just go to other sites that are run more professionally.
