special category status
by Tom on May 16, 2009 12:12 PM  | Hide replies

The special category status will benefit Bihar in three ways.
1)there will be tax holidays for investors setting up industry in Bihar.
2)the ratio of grants given by the Planning Commission will be tilted in favour of the state, and, therefore, in many cases the state will not be required to give the matching grants.
3)the unspent money at the end of a financial year will not lapse. It will be carried forward.

Why BJP's Hinduism HAD backfired in Elections?
by New York on May 16, 2009 10:33 AM

Showing Muslims,Christians, Minority communities AND Pakistan as an excuse,
BJP is trying to polarize Hindus VERSUS Rest of the Communities Votes in India.
However BJP didn't realize that propagating Hinduism will intrinsically IGNITE Casteism in India.

As per Mandal Commission, 54% Indians are BCs and 25% SC/STs.
And these communities will eventually INSULATE themselves from BJP's Hinduism.
Kumaraswamy, Naveen Patnaik, Nitish Kumar have just started.
BC leaders like Modi will do the same in future.

* And there is NO such thing as Hinduism **till** 85% of all registered marriages in India are INTER-CASTE.

If southies asked for this, you'd say we are communal. Because Bihar or northie asks for it, it is not communal.

Dude, Being indian means being a hindi speak or being a UPite or Bihari. The rest of us are lucky to be called Indian. When people outside think of India, they think of north indian food, they think of Taj Mahal.

So think of yourself lucky to be called Indian because you are not real indian. Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada....as long as they exist, we can never become real indians.

I think time has come for Bihar and UP to gear up for Industrialization. Maya should be out and similar to Nitish, and Modi some dynamic figuire should take over UP also. So that these states do not have to depend on other states for exporting labour. They will do every thing themself.

You may not agree but truth is Nitish has done big favour to india, by making Bihar grow a little. He has brought some method in madness. Otherwise we all know how much liablility bihar was thanks to Lallo raaj.
Infact if we help bihar get specail status, grow economicaly, create jobs for locals. Then not many bihari will go to other city.
I have total sympathy with Nitish kumar. he really want to delever a better bihar for all of us. But its not an easy task. whole nation has to help.

Great job done by Nitish. BJP should kick out all robbers from its kitty. Then only they can dream of coming to power. Thief like Jaitely and Advani, Jaswant are all blood suckers.
