I had thought that Nitish is a man of words. Now he is playing truant and sees his chance as becoming PM with 20 odd MPs. These people Naveen & Nitish after enjoying power on BJPs back are now stabbing them in the back.

I don't know wether Bihar will get special status or not. But one thing is certain if Nitish Kumar leaves NDA, then surely Laloo is the next CM of Bihar. BJP is going to walk out of the Bihar governement, which means division of votes that will definately benefits Laloo. So Biharwasiyon as usual prepare to live in the lattern light. Once again a politician is kicking you all towards a hopeless life.

Imagine if some politicians in one of the southern states
by snpost on May 15, 2009 11:07 PM  | Hide replies

Imagine if some politicians in one of the southern states had asked for special status.
What would have been the reaction of the North Indians?
Special status should be offered to no states, people from each states has to work hard to develop their own states.
If people from one states does nothing, does not accept responsibility, and then blame something for their failure, then they have onely themselves to blame.
No resrvation for anybody, and mostly no reservation or special status to states either.
North Indian grow up.
And Biharis, love your mother tongue, which is Bojpuri. If a people neglect their mother tongue, its the same as neglecting your mother.

Maharastrians, Marwaris, Gujjus & Whole South Indians are fools by not producing enough childrens and un-necessarily Chauvinist. They must be feeling pity by being Honest. North Indians have outsmart Central & South India by shear number game. It is the Power that matters, money, developments all comes afterwords. As India is getting more educated North-South Divide is becoming more wider.

How and why Kashmir is different from other states in India?
by kesireddy sreedhar on May 15, 2009 10:43 PM  | Hide replies

When Kashmiris are enjoying with special status and more support of funds, why not any other backward state in India get special status. Did Kashmir contributed any thing more to India than other states. After vote banks and minority appeasement, now all parties will compete with each other in fighting for and granting special status for their favourite states to get power. We can stop this menace by putting an end to the special status given to Kashmir.

Gandhi has given us tool of Non-Co-operation Movement. We should not pay any tax until it guarranty returns to our states. Pay local sales tax but not excise, income tax thus give more power to your respective state governement to negotiate with centre. from Mughals Era Delhi is enjoying Tax money from whole India and gives nothing back to honest payers and wasting money at wins & fancy of family run Kingdoms of past or modern day governments.

We urgently need change of taxing and utilise of tax money. There should be role of States in deciding spending of Central Governement tax collections. We are still governed by stone-age rules. Do not pay any tax and armtwist central rulling government to ensure equal allocation of Money. Once Heavon Kashmir is white-elephant of India. If our money is spent on Kashmir, we should have right to buy land and stay there as in every state we can do so. I am now really afraid if this time Congress comes to power, our country will really march to -ve growth and escallating terrorist attacks and prices of comodities.

by Tom on May 15, 2009 10:36 PM

This is really a good news. New policies are required in favor of Bihar in order to recover from damage done to Bihar by central government's policies in the past. The rest of the country has been eating resources of erstwhile Bihar for free. Now its their time to keep their mouth shut.

About 10% population of India are living in Bihar, At time of Independence, Bihar was one of richest state in country. But, after freedom, Bihar becomes poor day by day in all aspects. U can see, how central goverment looted in last 50 years from following facts.
(i)About 80% coal mines belongs to Joint Bihar, But CCL main office is in Kolkata and sales tax goes to W.B. Central goverment getting coal of price 100000 Lakh crore by just 2000 crore as state royality. DVC, SAIL has also same story
(2)There is no Central Unversity in Bihar. But , U.P has four. Till 2008,Bihar has no IIT, IISC, IIM, IIFT. Last year , IIT Patna is founded due to lot political pressure on Central Gov.
(3)Aluminium ore mines belongs to joint Bihar. But, Govt of India has establised Aluminium Factory in south.
(4)In plane part of Bihar, Govt of India have not establish any industry till today.
(5)Govt of India never try to solve problem of every year coming Flood (due to rivers coming from Nepal). For example, Maintains of Damm in
Nepal , Bihar Govt. duty. Labours are supplied by Nepal Govt. Govt give money for that. But, last our cental Govt have not grantted Nitish Nepal visit for inspection.
(6)Last year, Bihar Govt has tried to reopen 18(with agreement Reliance and HPCL)sugar mills for production of ethnol. But, Govt of India not permitted.
Lots of things are remaining. Due majaor above reasons, Bihar needs Special status.

And present status Bi har is also because of Bi haris (Lalu & Paswan) why forget that. While other states have by & large welcomed you, why you are now trying to be Egoistic. Why you always want power wherever you go? But don't ask your leader a single word while in Bi har. Who is jealo us as of now you or others? Why wait for Central Government to do something. If Bi haris are so successful than why they are not coming back and make sincere efforts to turn-arround the present state. All in sundry will then come to Bi har for earning and with investments. If this happens in your way as mentioned above, will Bi har allow Maharas trians to earn money in Bi har? Or do they only remember recent attoricities on Bi haris who are now asking unneces-sary demands in other states. WIll you reciprocate Maharas trians open mindedness all these 100 years to welcome you in Maharas tra? What you have given to the states you are migrating other than cheap labour, unclea nlyness, corrup tion, chea ting & beurocracy if civil servant in other states?

ANY IDEA WHO HAS GOT GUTS TO STOP CONVERSION
by balaji on May 15, 2009 09:25 PM

After Kerala TN Orissa missionaries aggressive in AP and Karnataka
Alarming 5 fold increase in Kandhamal Christian population from six per cent in 1971 to 27 per cent in 2001 ,It began with the arrival of Christian missionaries in the area who found the remote region very conducive to conduct prosetylization amongst the poor tribals. The conversions continued unhindered until the arrival of Swami Laxmanananda who put strenuous efforts to stop conversions and help reconversion to Hinduism as well. If not for his effort Kandhamal would have been another Nagaland in the making where the separatist movement has wrecked havoc in the state.
The aggressive Christian proselytization in Orissa today pitched previously peaceful tribals into warring camps of Christians and non-Christian. This has has vitiated the peace that has existed with various communities for millenia.
Why Orissa
Orissa has been specially targeted because of a huge tribal population. This allows the missionaries to work from the scrutiny of the media and carry our their nefarious activities.
In Kandhamal district, for instance, the Christian population has increased from six per cent in 1971 to 27 per cent in 2001, despite a law enacted by the Orissa Legislature in 1967 to prevent conversion by allurement, coercion, bribery and cheating.
