know about Telangana before you comment
by ravula reddy on May 15, 2009 04:13 PM

I see some people say why to divide into smaller state. I want to educate those people who are against smaller state.
1. Telangana was separate state before 1956 it has it own history of over 400yrs as a separate state.
2. AP was formed by combining 2 state i.e. Telangana(Hyderabad State) and Andhra.
3. It is written in constitution that merger of 2 states was not correct, if Telangana wants to form separate state due to lack of development under united state it can form separate state at any time.
4. With above facts you can't compare Telangana state hood with any other states. Like in this board people talk about UP, Maharastra, MP, Bihar etc....
5. We love our region that doesn't mean we hate Andhra people or Rayalaseema people.

some people quote that don't divide India. We Telangana people struggled for freedom even after 1947 against Nizams who were willing to join in Pakistan. Our Ancestors who fought against Nizams (Razakar army) with the help of Indian gov. Hyderabad state was declared as part of India and declared freedom on Sep 17 1948. I say that no other state that you people has this history.
Please respect feeling and emotion of people. It's not just with out any reason or cause we are demanding for separate state.

Why Hyderabad deserves a separate statehood?
by New York on May 15, 2009 11:02 AM

* Telangana districts are culturally and socio-economically different from rest of AP.
* Hyderabad is also culturally and socio-economically different from rest of Telangana.

Because of KCR all political parties(BJP,TDP,CONGRESS,TRS,PRP,CPI & BSP) gave nod to a separate state.

So separate Telangana is going to be a reality in very near future.I request all andhrites to mentally prepare for separation.

God Bless Telangana!!!

Telangana - The need of hour
by Prashanth Kumar on May 15, 2009 10:15 AM  | Hide replies

Jai Telangana movement started in 1969 & close to 400 students gave their lives for this cause. This struggle is continuing for the past 50 years & won’t die that soon.

I wonder why Andhrites can't imagine the thought of craving out a separate Telangana state.

When a drought hit area (Telangana) separates from flourished area(Andhra),then you guyzz(Andhrites) are at advantage. You should be happy to part ways with us.

But looks like you parasites (andhrites) want to milk even more(from Telangana).Just like what Britisher’s did to India.

The sooner we get Telangana the better.Else YSR & Naidu will sel off all govt lands in & around Hyderabad.
Jai Telangana !!!!!!! Jai Telangana !!!!!!! Jai Telangana !!!!!!! Jai Telangana !!!!!!!

Telangana is a genuine requirement
by swetambar on May 15, 2009 08:21 AM

The Nizam rule in Telanga lot of parities between rich and poor. The prosperity was always in and around Hyderabad. Their poor vision and administration has lead to utter poverty and rise in dalals

Even after 60 yrs after independence, there are several villages in this part of the state without power and basic infreastructure. There are no proper roads and the communications system. Educationally too this region is quite backward

The neo colonial rule of andhrites can be seen not just in Hyderabad but across the districts of telengana. There are many landlords from coastal andhra migrated and occupied lands here. These ppl hold power even in telengana. So there is nothing wrong in demanding telengana. YSR and his cronies will never allow this nor even NCB becuase of their investments in the twin cities. What is wrong if KCR opts BJP?

Dear Swetambar please check with your "big-brothers" (annalu) first on this. It i sthose guys who blew up every visible piece of public property for the last 30 yrs and you guys meekly surrendered to them. Whay would any government official or private enterprise stretch its neck out under these circumstances? You reap what you sow.

I think people who are demanding seperate telangana ar nothing but the cronies of naxalites. Its guys like you who are out to disintegrate the country. Shame on you!!

Even Guj was a part of Maharashtra before...so, by your logic, the separation of Guj was also "anti-national"???

I think AP is not the largest state in India, isn't it? Maharashtra's turn comes before AP, of course UP is first! What do you think? How many pieces we must do for each large state? And, how many small states must be created? Any idea Prashanth?
