Is it Mamta? Doubtful!
by Indian on May 13, 2009 03:07 PM  | Hide replies

There is no doubt that a majority of the people seek a change. And at this moment there is no other alternative than Mamta. But there's an underlying danger in supporting Mamta. She herself may be hard working and has proved herself in the past as effective and result-oriented as a Railway minister. But the same may not be said about her colleagues and supporters.
But given the condition WB is in today, it would probably make sense to reject the LF for the time being. People like Biman Bose, Subhash Chakrabarty, Binay Konar, Gautam Deb, Anisur Rahman, Biswanath Chowdhury, Jogesh Barman, Manabendra Mukherjee, Mrinal Banerjee all have been proved to be incompetent and useless.

Therefore it may actually prove to be beneficial for WB to support Mamta in next assembly election.

Till Mamta, no change
by Jitesh Agrawal on May 13, 2009 02:54 PM  | Hide replies

WB and Bengali's want a change but Mamta is no replacement. She is still not reliable and mature enough to rule a state and that is the reason WB wont see a change. Cong- TMC combine may be able to make some good show but as far as change in state govt. is concerned wait till a formidable and reliable person emerges in WB as an option to CPIM or else it will be red flag till then

WB's gain with Mamata as CM may still be UPA's "gain" of keeping her out of the UPA cabinet !!

by rupak banerjee on May 13, 2009 02:51 PM

all the political parties including the the great dummy leader for congress /bjp, are using communists' slogans/policies for poor people.therefore, communist policies are the main plank for seeking votes.therefore, communists are a part of indian democracy.they are much better than many moneybag based politicians.left front will not come back to power,if madarsa scheme succeeds to destabise WB.may i know who are financing the chane brigade?the answer will explain every doubt.we need change ...but in trade union and education policies of left front.we donot want any leadership change.

by Baba Kamdev on May 13, 2009 02:49 PM

Look at her, she looks pre matured.
Who the hell wants her to be projected as 'Change'?

Is she thinking herself as India's Obama?

Bengalis beware, this 'Change' is worse than commies...

Mamta is too mercurial...
by Sundaram on May 13, 2009 02:42 PM  | Hide replies

I am yet to see Mamta work as a cool team player in any PM's cabinet. I think, her mind-set works best when she is busy agitating against some thing or the other. She is not
meant for doing any calm, conducive, and constructive work with a vision. So even if she wins WB and becomes CM, God's mercy is still required in plenty by people of WB.

Promising is a momentary job, it is the implementation from cencept to reality, that takes time and enormous amount of patience. Does she have it ?

means Bengali will never cahnge ?? Why Bengali can not take lead ?? why BJp should reject first ? if you people do not send her to Parliyament than ofcourse BJP or everbody will kick her out.??
So if you have decided to be with Third world state like Bihar ,UP , Bengal which is shame for India than what we can do , we can suggest you only, Yes we need collie and labour too ?? so even if you people do not get change we will not force after all India is democratic.

to defeat Commies in Bangla
by Desert Fox on May 13, 2009 02:33 PM  | Hide replies

Various tricks will be needed to throw commies out. For instance - fair polling. Then separate Gorkhaland.

Try bringing up low caste leaders. Currently WB is governed by all forward caste leaders.

Things like that.

Stop infiltration and cancel voting rights of illegal immigrants. This will also help.

Mamta bannerjee definitely is not the choice.

Well I take back one of the things. low/backward caste leaders won't help. 63% population belongs to FC in bengal.

This is drastically different from UP/Bihar where Laloos, Mayas rule.

Change
by rg v on May 13, 2009 02:26 PM  | Hide replies

It is high time for Bengal for a change. 32 years is too much. In the next assembly election, Congress-TMC must be voted to power. Their 5 year rule will expose them.
It will be like BJP allince in the centre. All the time they were blaming Congress for their bad rule since independance and finally NDA voted to power. In their tenure they proved that they are good for nothing and UPA came back again.

if congress can rule the country for most of the time after independence, how does 32 years be a threat?.. left front is not C P M alone.BLIND VENGENCE AND ARROGANT ANTI LEFT{or for that matter anti bjp or anti congress} is not a healthy attitude for political governance of this country.100 or 200 years old theory needs change.we donot undervalue our ancient sastras which are still the values of our life .YELE resembles a friend of mine who stopped using left hand and left side of road to record his anti left leanings. RIDICULOUS.all indian political leaders should pay royalty to MARX for using his written theory FOR BEGGING VOTES.
