These elections are the most interesting ever -the voter has a varied choice of “great” personalities such as :- 1) Jayalalitha – Vote me to power and I will send the Indian Army to Sri Lanka and fight the Lankan Army to establish Eelam… 2) Mulayam – Vote me to power, and I will support any group that dismisses the UP Govt. of Mayawati…. 3) Varun Gandhi – Vote me to power, and I will make more and more hate speeches…. 4) Amarsingh – Vote me to power and I will ban English from Schools and Computers from the country…. 5) Manmohan –Vote me to power, and I will give the first use of the country’s resources to the Muslim minority…. 6) Advani – Vote me to power, and I will get back lakhs and lakhs of crores deposited in Swiss Banks to boost the economy…. 7) Karaat – Vote me to power, and I will support Congress if they scrap the Nuclear deal with the USA….. 8) Nitish, Pawar, Lalu, Devagouda, Patnaik – Vote me to power, and I will go Left, Right or Centre, depending on who gets the majority….

I really don't care who gets elected this time - BJP, Congress or Third Front. Life is going to be the same no matter who gets elected - same electricity/water issues, same road issues. I do not anticipate any change in the way I live.
what matter the most is that PPL STOP VOTING REGIONAL PARTIES IN NATIONAL ELECTIONS!!!! IT IS A WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY. JUST VOTE ONE OF THE NATIONAL PARTIES AND LETS BE DONE WITH IT. WE DO NOT WANT TO SPEND TRILLIONS OF RUPEES ON ELECTIONS WITH IN THE NEXT 5 YEARS.
PS: THIRD FRONT IS JUST A BUNCH OF LOCAL PARTIES TRYING TO MAKE A BIG DIFFERENCE IN NATIONAL POLITICS.

Mr. Indian, I fully agree with you that in National Elections people should only vote for National Parties/alliances. In case of alliances, those should be pre-poll alliances...any post poll alliances should be banned as they are a betrayal to the trust of the people.

Let rediff have its jive for another 5 days. After the election result is out they all will be silenced. Left will win in the range of 25-32 seats in Benagl. Do you call it a wipe out/sunset of Marxists?

Be careful. Nowadays, most Punjabis, UP, Biharis along with other indians are trying to break out some dispute between Bengalees. Already they have been succeeded to some extent. One of the told me that your ancestors came from Banaras so you should not support those east Bengalees. Likewise, these jackals are trying to divide us and finish us from our roots. Be careful. Never forget about the illdeeds of Nehru against Subhash and the creation of an artificial Bengal famine by them with British. These North Indians are spreading poison against us allover the world. Yes, other day, I saw some one posted - Maharastra gave highest number of freedom fighters. Another wrote, north India gave highest. These guys want to rewrite the history - some one will write Bengalees didn'thave any contribution in freedom fight.

If the left and the regional parties insists and do not extend support too UPA. UPA will be forced to support a third front govt from outside so as to keep the NDA out.
This time UPA will also not withdraw support as was the case some years back, as the congress has learnt the moment they withdraw support they also lose credibility and like the last time, it will pave the way for a clear NDA majority in the ensuing elections.
If karat can keep his folk together and bargain hard ,UPA will support the third front, Karat should not support the UPA as manmohan is a chameloen and once in power he will use moneybags to buy out parties just like the way he did it during the no confidence motion.
the less said about the the nominated PM ( opportunist mamohan ) the better one day he says working with left was like bonded labor. and when he wants to hold on to power he says ,i enjoyed working with left.
one day he says UPA is not one issue govt if nuclear deal is not done world will not come to end and Now to show off his bravdo during elections he says i would have resigned if nuclear deal is not done.

I agree with you. I see lot of matrimonials in west bengal (known to be least castist) where they explicitly say, no SC/ST, please.

When economy slows down its govt job to pump money by spending in different sectors so as to push the economy, instead of doing so MMS sucked out the liquidity leading to such a crisis.

you need to learn and read first dont waste time in writing messages. Read about black money for example and understand why NDA couldnt do anything about it during their rule. Read about Anti-Sikh riots sponsored by congress.
