Third front Govt Possible

Third front Govt Possible

If the left and the regional parties insists and do not extend support too UPA. UPA will be forced to support a third front govt from outside so as to keep the NDA out.

This time UPA will also not withdraw support as was the case some years back, as the congress has learnt the moment they withdraw support they also lose credibility and like the last time, it will pave the way for a clear NDA majority in the ensuing elections.

If karat can keep his folk together and bargain hard ,UPA will support the third front, Karat should not support the UPA as manmohan is a chameloen and once in power he will use moneybags to buy out parties just like the way he did it during the no confidence motion.

the less said about the the nominated PM ( opportunist mamohan ) the better one day he says working with left was like bonded labor. and when he wants to hold on to power he says ,i enjoyed working with left.

one day he says UPA is not one issue govt if nuclear deal is not done world will not come to end and Now i would have resigned if nuclear deal is not done.

Earlier regional parties are hurting indias growth now when he need the regional parties support he starts adulating them.

Congress culture Rahul Gandhi/ manmohan praising Naidu , Nitish one day and if thier objectives are not met castigating them in 24 hours if for all to see

How does supporting the Tamils in Eelam who face genocide equals to dividing the country?
How many Tamils fought in kargil?
Gujurati and South Indian has never had any bad feelings as far as i know, both populations are Hindus and majority vegetarian.
Eelam is to protect the people living there from genocide.
Elaam is an historical region, and is located in Northern Ceylon.

Bharati raj and company are doing more harm to tamil people settled in Sri Lanka rather than saving them. One cannot blame sonia gandhi for all the ill will in tamil community in sri lankia. how they can aask for a separate state within the state )a soverigen country). This ridiculous - of course, they should leave with dignity and self respect along with sri lankan people. One country would allow to divide it - even india has been reisting the same in the case of kasmir. This is nothing but poll gimmicks, and once elections are over, everything would subside - and so called custodians and guaridans would definitely take a back seat and the hapless tamil people in srilanka continue to suffer - for get about elam - provide the people with necessary assistance to mitigate the sufferings - our government can do this and I am sure they are already one job.

This issue has been going on for how many years now?
I am sure a few of us was not even born when this issue started. And you saying, that by magic, after the election, it will all dissapear.
Who are you fooling?
How do you protect these Eelam tamils if not for their own states- who will guarantee their safety, if not for thmeselves.
Look we are all to busy, to look after the Eelam tamils- the only people who can look after the Eelam tamils are the Eelam tamils themselves.
To look after themselves, they need certain tools- these tools are their freedom and their own states.
Congress are to blame. Congress created that mess, and us sitting down and doing nothing- will not help either. We need to give the Eelam people the support to achieve their freedom- which is Eelam.
Until, they get that, we can only elect people who will deliver peace in Eelam.

Now PM keeps mum on this genocide From 1949 to 1977 a number of Non-voilence movements by Tamils under the leadership of Mr. Selvanayagam was suppressed by the Srilankan government with force. At that point of time they did not fight for separate nation but for equal rights. Only after Black July riots in 1983 which claimed lives of more than 1000 innocent Tamils, terrorist organization started to gain popularity among Tamil youth's. Genesis of LTTE and similar other outfits can be primarily attributed to the gross injustice of the Srilankan government to Tamils and their "ONLY Sinhala" propaganda. In India equal rights to all citizens is guaranteed through constitution, and political parties are interested in providing more provisions for the minority people. Whereas in Srilanka the government systematically and steadily took measures to suppress minorities. For instance tamil students has to get more mark than Sinhala student to get a place in university. They were also denied opportunity in government jobs. Many basic rights were denied to Tamils. So as long as such social injustice exits, new terrorist organizations would come up with different strategies and would continue to exist without any end. Now both Tamils and Sinhalese are tired of war, all they want is a peaceful environment to live. So devolution of power and providing equal rights and opportunities to all citizens can only ensure durable peace in the island nation

You never undestood the root cause of the problem.
The Tamils in Srilanka are the descendants of TAMILNADU origin back to Geographical transformation of Lemuria Continent.
Jammu Kashmir has been in Special Status which is not acceptable as per Constitution and so we are facing severe bloodshed for the past 60 years.
Gujarat issue is the political vendetta developed by Congress and BJP to be blamed for communal riots which history will never forgive the sins commited by Goondas and Hooligans.
Separate Tamil Eelam is the slogan raised by many political parties in Tamilnadu since 1980 for political gains as short term gimmicks which is shared by DMK and ADMK as everyone in Tamilnadu is fully aware of the Limitations of our constitution to compel the soverignity of Lanka to divide the small island into two, which can be achieved by International Community by forces.
The Tamils are not Desh Drohi as you said is highly to be condemened.
We have contributed to Nation's development and the North Indians are only separating India into Regional Orientation and creating disharmony.
South Indians are neglected by North Indian Political Leaders during past 50 years.
But Remember, after May16th results of parliament elections we are going play vital role.

PC is on its way out
by tamil boy on May 12, 2009 10:16 AM

PC is on its way out.
Nobody will be sorry to see this bum kisser goes, for good hopefully.
Or he can go up north and try to get elected there :-)

The Tamil in Lanka issue is not on everybody minds, and it will have no effect on people voying- yes right.
Maybe the older generation would have fell for this little lie, PC and Co need to try harder, much harder vene if they seems to control the English press. The problem for them is that the internet is free, and PC and Co can never buy it as they bought the press.
And by the way, calling people who now support the struggle of the Tamils in lanka as pro-Tamils does not make sense- hwt about the guys in the west now writing about the savagery of the Singalese killing machines on Tamils? Are they pro-Tamils as well? My foot.
Its just people, descent people who are appaled by this level of killing on ordinary folks- the fact if they are tamils should have been irrelevant.

Usually on rediff, you get many people writting against this genocide- Tamils, Telugus, Mlayaless, some kanadigas, Marathi guys and even Northies.
My question is why no CM from specially the other Southern states have denounced this genocide?

The building of a port in South lanka by the chinese, and the plan air base by the Chinese in EElam will affect not just TN, I am sure- it will affect the whole South?
So why did the other CM stayed muted to this genocide?

Criminals being supported by UPA
by annamalai on May 12, 2009 10:12 AM  | Hide replies

It is not India alone but the whole International Community are backing Srilanka in their genocide of tamil civilians. Whoever visits Srilanka discuss about how far the genocide is going on. They encourage Srilanka to finish off the tamilians as early as possible. As soon as they leave Srilanka then the bombings are done 5 times with more force. After the lakhs of deaths through bombings and starvation and when some few people are left then U.N. will step in maybe with some force and will discuss with Colombo what to announce and then will announce that Srilanka has done a tremendous job helping the displaced civilians. They will not tell anything about the war crimes. They will act as if the whole of srilanka belongs to srilanka government and the tamilians there are refugees. The history will be rewritten as such. And as we all know people are bound to forget all these barbarism of the International community comprising of India, U.S.A, U.K., France, Canada, Mexico who cry for halt of war and the open support given by Russia, China and Pakistan.

The people who are asking to commit these genocides are human beings who also have families. The question is why are they supporting these genocides.

It is because nowadays violence is inborn in all the child each other man's death somewhere is welcomed by all, they enjoy it.

Interesting comment!! I hope you also supported the LTTE Terrorrists who also killed thousands of civilians over 3 decades now. And perhaps you henceforth support the causes of the Hizbul/LeT in Kashmir, the ULFAS in Assam and the Khalistanis of Punjab. If not, how come you can have different opinions about similarly operating bodies. We demanded severe actions on local people supporting the above mentioned bodies. If that is so, all actions in Sri Lanka is of similar fashion. Moreover this is a problem of a separate nation where we cannot poke our noses at will. That is foolish as China might do the same in case of Arunachal Pradesh and Sikkim. What then?

East Pakistan was India's problem for sure. You need to brush up I guess. SL requested India's support in tackling "terrorism" and LTTE is nothing but bunch of terrorists, killing innocent people - for whatever cause it is. Using abusive language does not make you learned my friend.... caste based emotions cannot be the only attribute to run a nation.

if you want to compare srilankan tamil issue with kashmire or bangaladesh or sikh then, go ahead and read and compare ...

Kashmir Issue:
Where people have all rights as any common indian citizen and even more rights (muslim law and no one except kashmire can buy land in kashmir). But, with pakistan backing, some people are asking for homeland because they have muslim majority.

Srilankan Tamil Issue:
Srilankan tamils don't have equal rights as any sinhalese. They protested to get equal rights in gandhiyan way initially and after amry started killing and raping tamils, they took weapon to defend themselves. They need either equal rights to live in srilanka or a seperate homeland.

Sikh Issue:
Sikh killed Indira Gandhi because they were against sending indian army to sikh's golden temple. Indira Gandhi was the root cause of the problem and Sikh killed Indira. But you can see MMS as PM of India now (probably the beloved bahu sonia don't like her MIL indira). And india is involved in the internal matters of pakistan to warn killing sikh in pakistan.

Srilankan Tamil Issue:
Rajiv Gandhi was killed by LTTE because IPKF killed and raped tamils instead of helping them in srilanka. Rajiv didn't controlled IPKF and he was the root cause of all the trouble, so LTTE killed Rajiv. And thousands of tamils were killed because of Rajiv death and india still helping srilanka to kill thousands. And india will say they cann't involve in the internal matters of srilanka.

Bangaladesh Issue:
In east pakistan where bangaladeshis are majority didn't had equal rights as other citizens in pakistan. So, they protested and took weapons to defend themselves. India helped them secure a homeland for bangaladeshis. India still have lots of bangaladeshi refugees and they live here happy without any restriction.

Srilankan Tamil Issue:
Srilankan issue is very similar to bangaladeshi issue. Only difference is India don't want to help them. Instead they give weapons to srilankan army to kill tamils in srilanka. Srilankan tamil refugees are restricted to live freely in india and they are in the camp.

Rescue civilians - Hope Sonia has a heart
by Kamadhenu on May 12, 2009 10:11 AM  | Hide replies

It is distressing that the Sri Lankan govt rejected a ceasefire declared by the LTTE even as UN humanitarian chief John Holmes asked the government to halt its military offensive against the LTTE in order to allow aid workers to help civilians trapped in the “no fire zone” ‘Lanka rejects LTTE ceasefire’

It has been sheer hell for the civilians caught in the crossfire between the LTTE and the army for so long. The picture published in the front page speaks volumes about an unprecedented humanitarian crisis. Both the LTTE and the Lankan government need to heed the voice of the world community to help the beleaguered teeming civilians move to safer places and rebuild their lives.

Hitler re-born in Sri Lanka - Rajapakse
by Balaraman on May 12, 2009 10:09 AM  | Hide replies

India committed a big mistake in the Lankan issue

war ravaged Tamil people are deeply traumatised and feel being let down, The camps are in woeful conditions unfit for human beings. Inmates should stay within barbed wire borders & beg for food and medicine The Govt is planning to retain these temporay camps as permanent
only stone-hearted people could visit the camps hundreds of thousands of people displaced and wounded were in a state of deep mental shock. “If unattended, a good number of them may soon have mental health problems”, The people are in distress and pain and feel let down by Indians.
Tamils feel that the Indian government had let them down very badly Rajapakse wants to keep them in the camp and finish them off as he is not interested in moving them back to their homes as he knows UPA will dare not intervene

Why a non-Tamil without the knowledge of Tamil as High Commissioner?
