In India equal rights to all citizens is guaranteed through constitution, and political parties are interested in providing more provisions for the minority people. Whereas in Srilanka the government systematically and steadily took measures to suppress minorities. For instance tamil students has to get more mark than Sinhala student to get a place in university. They were also denied opportunity in government jobs. Many basic rights were denied to Tamils. So as long as such social injustice exits, new terrorist organizations would come up with different strategies and would continue to exist without any end. Now both Tamils and Sinhalese are tired of war, all they want is a peaceful environment to live. So devolution of power and providing equal rights and opportunities to all citizens can only ensure durable peace in the island nation

Please look at the Sikh problem ( No turban allowed)in UK and now in Pak (Jashiya). They are not interfereing in Sovereign country like Srilnka by interfering( as per P Chidambaram) by so called sovereign country India Only congress scountrel can talk like this Only tamils can listen to this blooddy politicians

Interesting!! A PM from south?? The part which in certain cases even deny the national anthem! First south needs to understand and respect the full India - Only then there could be a consideration.

Such misguided ideas have been nurtured since Independence and south Indians dont need a certificate of Indianism from idiots like u who dont even know the true colour of issues like Srilanka crisis but stand in front to comment on south Indians always. What do u know about the history, independent struggle of South India. U think only north Indians behave like true Indians and south Indians are not. Tell me, which part of the country is mostly affected by terrorism (anti nationalistic feeling), north or south?. Why?

Mr. Swamy - I do not care about north or south Indians. My experience has given me the chance of interacting with both so called south/ north Indians. I found it horrendous when I saw the horrible disregard to the rest of the nation by the south Indian friends. I am sure you will acknowledge that over time south India (especially TN) has distanced itself from the rest of the country. I request you to please treat this message from an analyst perspective deviod of emotions. Again, with all due respect to the tremendous passion that south India brings, they were perhaps misguided by the local politicians.

In that case my friend, the comment of having a PM from south was not required!! We had presidents from South and pardon me if I sounded odd to you. It was not the intention. I wanted to highlight that there is no need to divide the nation by mentioning that a PM from south is required.

Why do u say that India doesn't need a PM from south?. A president post has no great powers in Indian constitution and its just a rubber stamp post whereas the prime minister enjoys the constitutional authority. Since Independence, South India was purposely ignored ny north indian politicians both in terms of development and power. But later south India pulled itself up with IT revolution. Now the southern states along with Gujarat and Maharastra pay higher taxes when compared to most underdeveloped states of North and northeast India. Actually, this indifference towards south by succeesive congress govts in centre sowed the seeds of anti hindi agitations and closed down forever the congress rule in TN.

Now that you are getting the benefits of the same, you are saying that it is the IT revolution? Who brought this revolution!! It is a congress person named Rajiv Gandhi. How long will you vote for filmy people like Karunanidhi and Jaya? What knowledge do they have about India and it's people? Because of this caste based politics oneday it will be tough to recognize yourselves from rest of India!! It is time that you come out the jinx of South India and Dravidian politics. It is time that you first take part in national main-stream politics. Automatically you will get a south Indian PM. Anyway, we have seen horrible PMs from south like Devegowda and Chandrasekhar - we will test another. Even PV Narasimha was from south ... good lord, 3 out of 13 PMs till date?? I did not have a bengali! Do I complain?? Do you know we participated and lead the Independence movement the most?? I hope you from TN would have known more about the rest of India!!

Rajiv betrayed island tamils, he made only a military agreement between India and Srilanka. Will the congress will come out publically and will notify this in public. No it can't do.
Due to this Rajiv - Jayawardane pact, only this may innocent were killed. When Tamils opposed during peace process. With IPKF Rajiv killed so may tamils. Now Sonia is involved in the genocide of tamils.
