CPM-CPI and all left parties had ruined the state of Vivekananda and Subhashchandra. Trinmul and Cong is no better and have no able leaders who can guide the state. They need new Modi coming out of Calcutta.
Kolkata has many highs and lows ,spceially under communist rule ,it has fallen behind other states in terms of growth, spceally due to being descriminated by govt at the center for 30 years.
Due to many reasons ,the city is financially dominated by non bengalis.Marwaris have dominated the finanace and after prospering have moved their money to other cities.
Bengal had many great things to added to its past glory..like the freedom fighters, great stalwarts in art ,culture and intellectuals dominated India .
Now present India is dominated by money and that too swiss money..where Kolkata has fallen behind even small states...
But still it thrives due to the spirit of Kolkata!!!! Kolkata Jai Ho...

we need a government atleast run for 5yrs. third front doesn't have that bonding to continue for 5 yrs. & if third front comes in center another Nandigram or Singur will happen in verious parts of India---
Dont overestimate...nothing drastical will happen in WB. CPM will lose quite a seats, that is for sure, but nothing something that will throw them out of track. In fact, they have been able to repair some of the cracks in their forts also. Just see the results of the famous SINGUR area after the elections.

SEE , MY DEAR FRIENDS -- MRS. DR.( FROM EAST JORGEA UNIVERSITY) MAMATA BANERJEE IS THE ONLY ALTERNATIVE TO LEFT FRONT GOVT. IF SHE IS THE ONLY ALTERNATIVE, THEN LEFT FRONT WILL RULE N]BENGAL FOR ANOTHER 320 YEARS.

Exactly said. This clown lady is basically ruining the chances of any suitable opposition that may come up in WB.

THAT DOCTORATE DEGREE WAS AVAILABLE @ 200 DOLLARS, WHEN INR 8.33 PER DOLLAR. THAT IS A VALID DEGREE FOR LIKE MINDED PEOPLE OF BENGAL.
I dont think either the commun. or trinamool have a solution for Bengal's problems. I have stayed and travelled in bengal, and rural bengal still reflects India 50 yrs back. This contradicts the capable and intellectual population we have there....maybe its true, "power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely". Any maybe the time for another revolution is nearing...

You can post such a comment on these pages because of the efforts of these bengali people. Wherever you are from, certainly not from Bengal, you don't seemt to be capable of understanding the value of the freedom you have received without fighting for it.

As an Indian, will you like to forego the piece of land you have? Communists or the Dogs of China have brought in Bangladeshis illegally for their dedicated votes and muscle power. Now CPI(M) is mainly full of infiltrated Bangladeshis. In this country, it's not simple to send back the Bangladeshis but what China has pushed the venom (para-communism) in thru CPI(M), we need to drive that away. Foregoing an organ or a part of your body is not justified.

The think tanker of Congres party Mr. Pranab Mukherjee is also East pakisthani (Now Bangladesh) Mr. Advani also west pakisthani ( Now Pakisthan)...
somebody who was born 32 years ago in bengal ,he would have known the left front government only.that is a lot of time.it also shows the worthlessness of the opposition parties.they ruled with brutal majority. hopefully it will change. but cpm will continue to get majority for years to come.they are a cadre-based party.
