DEFINING THE TRUE INDIAN
by kedem kemorah on May 11, 2009 11:03 PM  | Hide replies

One of the oft repeated television advertisements by the Congress presents a man declaring — “Na main Hindu hoon, na main Mussalman, na Sikh, na Ishai, main ek Bhartiya hoon (neither am I a Hindu, nor a Muslim, nor a Sikh nor a Christian. I am an Indian).” Does this mean a religious Eendu, a devout Mos$lim, a pious $ikh or churchgoing Khristian cannot be a proud Indian too? Does it also mean that to be a true Indian you have to be an atheist or a man without religion? Why does the Congress think there is a difference between a true Indian and a religious Indian? In that case the red vermillion pastes that Mrs SG and Rahul publicly sport on their foreheads and Manmohan’s widely publicized visits to gurdwaras all efforts to fool the Indian public? Aren't all sickular persons hypocrites? Any further proofs required?

fearing hindu back lash Rajiv only opened the gates Ram Mandir at Babri. This nonse of a word called secularism was used maily by communists who wanted to be in power by proxy presenting a false picture of an all India party while in truth ruling only two states. Any one oppsing BJP is called secular. The truth is that only in Gujarat people are implimenting secularism where they mind their own business irrespective of their relegion. Could we say the same about UP or Bengal or Kerala.

Instead of looking at larger issues Rahul Gandhi has only noted down the Kandahar episode and like a broken record keeps repeating this. He has wasted his time on non issues like ‘India Shining’ and says that slogan was picked up by the BJP from the TV and that too was in English which most people do not understand. From where did the Congress pick up Jai Ho?If ‘India Shining’ was in English what is wrong. Is that a big issue to fault the BJP? Rahul Gandhi cannot talk or address in Hindi without interspersing it with English words—will the poor understand? He must realize that election meetings the crowds are collected busloads and lorry loads—they come not to hear but to see and they are paid 50 to 100 Rs per head.
Garibi Hato, Aam Aadmi— are slogans that remained as slogans as far as the Congress is concerned. And to the people it had meant nothing. Rahul Gandhi’s reach out to the people of India started when he spent a night in a dalit’s house and that too in his constituency. Now he thinks he is qualified to pontificate on the poverty of India. He feels that he has a greater connectivity to the poor in India and that he has a better reach out to the farmers and the laborers than the BJP. Can he enumerate the statistics in these areas and its projections during the UPA tenure? Can he list out the programs that were directed to these two groups?
One should not live in a glass house and throw stones at others.

Cho is obsolete and irrelevant

Why listen to this old man spout nonsense? He has lost touch with reality and his world view will not do India any good. It is time people stop considering him as an intellectual or a thinker. He is neither.

bjp is better than congress, muslims should not vote for congress, congress is just a slow in-decisive government doing nothing great in 40 years..bjp ruled only 5 years and got NATIONAL HIGHWAYS, nuclear india, kargil war, look at development in gujarat, bihar(as rahul gandhi himself admitted) etc..

compare srilankan tamil issue to sikh
by Sam Paul on May 11, 2009 10:20 PM

Sikh Issue:

Sikh killed Indira Gandhi because they were against sending indian army to sikh's golden temple. Indira Gandhi was the root cause of the problem and Sikh killed Indira. But you can see MMS as PM of India now (probably the beloved bahu sonia don't like her MIL indira). And india is involved in the internal matters of pakistan to warn killing sikh in pakistan.

Srilankan Tamil Issue:

Rajiv Gandhi was killed by LTTE because IPKF killed and raped tamils instead of helping them in srilanka. Rajiv didn't controlled IPKF and he was the root cause of all the trouble, so LTTE killed Rajiv. And thousands of tamils were killed because of Rajiv death and india still helping srilanka to kill thousands. And india will say they cann't involve in the internal matters of srilanka.

compare srilankan tamil issue to kashmire, bangaladesh, sikh
by Sam Paul on May 11, 2009 10:19 PM  | Hide replies

Kashmir Issue:

Where people have all rights as any common indian citizen and even more rights (muslim law and no one except kashmire can buy land in kashmir). But, with pakistan backing, some people are asking for homeland because they have muslim majority.

Srilankan Tamil Issue:

Srilankan tamils don't have equal rights as any sinhalese. They protested to get equal rights in gandhiyan way initially and after amry started killing and raping tamils, they took weapon to defend themselves. They need either equal rights to live in srilanka or a seperate homeland.

------------------------------------------

Bangaladesh Issue:

In east pakistan where bangaladeshis are majority didn't had equal rights as other citizens in pakistan. So, they protested and took weapons to defend themselves. India helped them secure a homeland for bangaladeshis.

Srilankan Issue:

Srilankan issue is very similar to bangaladeshi issue. Only difference is India don't want to help them. Instead they give weapons to srilankan army to kill tamils in srilanka.

------------------------------------------
