Pseudo Seculars
by Maihoon Don on May 11, 2009 06:30 PM  | Hide replies

Define PSeudo Secularism.

Is it defined as working hard to ensure communal harmony throught India OR

to promise Ram Mandir to 80 crore Hindoooooos and then not build one and saying Jinnah as secular when he caused the divide of India in 1947.

Please help.

you don't have other than these communal words in your dictionary. Do you think you are secular by writting this kind of communal sentence? Look into your inner and decide about yourself whether you communal or secular.

Secularism is governing without considering the religion like every poor in gujarat gets rice for 2Rs/kg.

Pseudo Secularism is considering counting of army officers and jawans on the basis of religion.
Giving reservations on the basis of religion.
and stating that "RAM does not exist" etc...

Yes, how beautiful peaceful 5 years with 67 bomb blasts in so many cities and 26/11 happening like an icing on the cake, right? But yes, despite of those happenings, last 5 years were peaceful until that peace was disturbed by some goons attacking girls in pub. Hypocrisy at its best. One unfortunate incident in pub happens and these hypocrites are just after it while BJP has already said they don't support this. In fact, media has selectively missed to report the news that in Mangalore, Ram Sena has launched their candidate again BJP to fight the election. But yes, we are secular and we won't report this news because it will damage our secular credentials. We will continue to live in peace and harmony practicing secularism along with more bomb blasts and more infiltration across the border. 26/11 was not a disturbance to the peace of this country according to this Bhaisahab. Well done Sir. You have made us understood the true meaning of secularism. As long as we have people like you, we don't need Pakistan.

it seems from your posting that if NDA comes in power, you seem to be doing the roiting job and giving credit to NDA. that's way of politics people like you are doing in this country. Putting flame is part of people like you and if reaction comes from the people then you will say the NDA is communal.

For you very very kind information Cho was instrumental in AIADMK's donwfall of 1996 Assembly elections. He Pulled Rajni,Moopanar and DMK on one side. He did it because of the Mis-rule of AIADMK during 1991-1996. So without knowing the facts don't bark. When there can be SIMI, RSS existence is justified. ANd you cannot pluck a single Hindu out of that.

Now Nitish is not secular
by Parth Mehta on May 11, 2009 06:20 PM  | Hide replies

OK, so when Rahul Gandhi praised Nitish Kumar, he was secular. Now he has joined hands with Modi, so he has become non-secular. Now, if tomorrow if he decides to join Congress or UPA again, he will become secular. Isn't it ridiculous? I don't know what is the definition of secularism for Congress and there allies. Only Congress can understand this logic of secularism. Lalu, Paswan and Mulayam just keep beating the drum of secularism but what is the reality? The truth is that regardless of whatever they say about Congress, they don't have anywhere to go as they will never support BJP in any case. So in order to get power and lucrative posts in the cabinet, they have to go with the Congress. Lalu is very frustrates because he knows that he can not win in Bihar and an attempt by Rahul Gandhi to reach Nitish Kumar made him more frustrated. Now, Nitish has joined hands with Modi, then Congress has to hide their face because all their attempts failed to woo him and that has made this joker named Lalu upset so he is bashing everyone. Calling Modi a killer, raising question again Nitish's secular credential won't affect though because at the end, people who vote for Modi or Nitish don't see whether they are secular or not. They vote them for the work they have done for the people and the ray of hope they see in them. So these much misused word secularism remain confined to the books and brains of these opportunistic parties.

I think this guy (Cho) is trying to be funny. How can BJP become secular when it has Advani, Modi and Varun in its ranks? May be, if BJP win more than 150 votes, will these be thrown out of their party?

Cho is not trying to be funny, he is being sarcastic. What he is trying to educate you is that if BJP gets 150 or less seats, it may not attract many suitors who may spurn it labelling it as communal. But if BJP gets 170 or more seats, many of these seculars will bend backwards and try to accommodate themselves in the lap of BJP. People like Naveen Patnaik of Orissa, CB Naidu of Andhra, Mayavathi of UP and even Jayalalitha of TN may support BJP-led NDA or even join the NDA in government formation.

Show me the secualr credentials of Congress apart from saying
1.Could not sleep
2.First right on resources
3.Sachar committee errors
4.Filing an affidavit that Lord Ram does not exist.

If these are secular to you certainly Advani,Modi are far secular than you.
