National interest and regional issues should not be confused.
by Indian on May 11, 2009 10:25 AM  | Hide replies

The ppl of WB have already committed many istakes in the past for which it is suffering now. In current LS polls also they shouldn't mix national issues and regional issues. LS polls are to address national issues. Therefore ppl of WB must vote to have a stable Govt at center who can deliver results, provide security to the people, improve the plight of common people by reducing prices and tax burdens etc. Voting a regional party like LF will only create unstability. Also LF has not done anything good for WB in the last 32 years except the land reforms so voting them to LS doesn't make any sense. The state is in shambles. Very soon it will feature among the most backward state in India. Living there has already become a nightmare for gentlemen.

Still there will be many LF supporters who'll continue to vote for them. But such acts of them can only be regarded as anti-Indian & pro-Chinese activity. Any pro-Indian person wouldn't vote for LF I'm sure.

Absolutely correct, Mr. Prakash Karat and his fellow comrades are trying to protect China's interest by opposing the Indo-US nuclear deal. Why are they silent when China claims "Arunachal is an integral part of China" or when China sets up nuclear power platns in Pakistan. They are shameless antinationals and should be kicked out not only from Bengal but from the whole country. And remember the left parties still claim that India attacked China in the sixties during the Indo-China war. The called Netaji : Tojo's dog (Tojo was Jap PM during WWII), it is beyond logic how educated people are still voting for the left...

Please dont quote Wikipedia as a source for data foe debates. While it is generally informative---anyone---may be even you---could have edited the content to suit your argument just prior to copy-pasting it

I am from Bengal myself---and therefore would require more convincing to believe what you said about the power infrastructure---because I know the actual situation here

West Bengal has the third largest economy (2003–2004) in India, with a net state domestic product of US$ 21.5 billion.[34] During 2001–2002, the state's average SDP was more than 7.8% — outperforming the National GDP Growth.[35] The state has promoted foreign direct investment, which has mostly come in the software and electronics fields;[34] Kolkata is becoming a major hub for the Information technology (IT) industry. Owing to the boom in Kolkata's and the overall state's economy, West Bengal is now the third fastest growing economy in the country.[36] However, the rapid industrialisation process has given rise to debate over land acquisition for industry in this agrarian state.[37] NASSCOM–Gartner ranks West Bengal power infrastructure the best in the country.[38] West Bengals state domestic product (SDP) grew in 2004 with 12.7 % and in 2005 with 11.0 % .[39]

Mr. Parichay, there is a common saying in English "Nobody can wake up a person who's pretending to sleep". You commies are those who're pretending to sleep dreaming that WB is doing great, Kolkata is doing great. You've closed your eyes to reality. Let me give you a small example. Do you know that to fit an AC to your house in WB, you need to get an approval from the Elec. Board for the same & pay Rs. 10,000 even in Kolkata? Against this in Gujarat in any village, one can just buy home an AC and plug in. That's power infrastructure for you. Have u ever seen any of your LF leaders admitting themselves or their family members in RG Kar or NRS? NO. Why? Because these are killer hospitals of WB with no work culture. Compared to it go to any Govt hospital in Mumbai, Chennai, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad and you'll see proper hygiene, work ethics and better treatment. IT hub my foot. Both WIPRO & Infosys have stopped any further investment in WB. Why? Because of poor infrastructure & unscheduled Bandhs called by your great LF Govt. Let's not speak statistics at least for the sake of it. WB has become a den of LF goondas.

Probably some CPM cadre has manipulated and wrote this info in WIKI. CPM only shows WRONG statistics! This is one of the most nasty trick they use to fool people. In reality if you go WB, you will see the pathetic situation in Health, education (up to 12th standard, students are much behind bihar..) and overall quality of life is abosolutely hopeless. One e.g. is recent four stroke auto... it has not yet changed... God save this state

If ou don't like Commis than make a create a new party in your state. Why you are choosing from one of those parties like BJP, RSS, Samajwadi, Congress and so on, which are even worse than the other one ?
Remember my advice, never believe on BJP or RSS. Their main political menifestos are against Bengalees ( irrespective of your any divisions) and Muslims. They have been torturing on all probasee Bengalees since 50 long years, did you know it ? Be careful about north Indians or non-Bengalees.

TMC in WB- TOUGH ROAD AHEAD
by letsgo on May 11, 2009 10:07 AM  | Hide replies

We may have imotions agaisnt rulling LF , but we have to accept some points like 1) the leaders in TMC are as bad as LF. Leaders like Somen Mitra ( responsible for kicking out Mamta from Cong), Sudip Banerjee & Subrata Mukherjee ( changing teams like acrobats ) can't do anything good for WB also. Even Mamta is not fair; she shouts so much for Nandigram but join hand with Pranab Mukherjee . Very few people in WB knows that Prasoon Mukherjee, whose project was supposed to come at Nandigram is nephew of Pranab Mukherjee. If Cong comes into power and Mamta becomes a Minister, it will be her Govt who will clear Nayachar Chemical Hub in WB. What I want to say is that there will be backbiting in state cong too and leaders like Manas Bhuiyan, Deepa Dasmunshi, Adhir Sinha or Abdul Mannan will not support TMC from their heart.

If you really want anti left vote bank, i think any other political will do the same as Mamata did. There is nothing wrong to bring all the anit left forces together to fight against left.
Mamata is doing the right thing!!
See, to succeed you need to talk to your enemy in the same language they understand.
We gace left 32 years to destroy us, let us give a chance to Mamata and see what she can do for us.
What you are saying is the the same negative propaganda the left are making against her.
I better give her a chance than blame her rather blaming her first without giving chance.!!

I agree. But u see Bengalis are basically bankrupt now. No new leaders are coming up whom u can trust. The same old faces who had never done anything good for Bengal.....the Somen, the Subrata, the Pranab , the Sougata and the like.Or u have to vote for Subhas or Biman or Budhha ! What a tragedy. Had there been someone like Gopalkrishna Gandhi, we would not have hesitated to vote for him. Look, its not a political dias . I am only sharing my feelings with other Bengalis.
