Forget about UP, Bihar and Bengal
by Paresh Padhye on May 11, 2009 11:01 AM  | Hide replies

UP, Bihar and Bengal are states in Gangetic belt and as such have most fertile land. Still they are lagging behind all the states in India. In one of the recent report it was pointed out that if states like these are dropped from India's human index calculation, India ranking will improve sybstantially.
I do not understand reason for wasting time on UP, Bihar and West Bengal. These are failed states like Pakistan and deserve no symapathy or attention.
Especially Bengal who keeps on boasting of Sonar Bangla and so-called intellectuals like Satyajit Rai, Ritwik Ghtakat, Jyoti Basu etc who could not improve their own state and went on preaching to world. If you check History, you will find that UP and Bihar atleast has many revolts against Muslim rulers or any other invader as did other states like Maharashtra, Rajasthan etc but Bengal always remained under the some foriign ruler's rule. Even during British Raj, Bengal and Calcutta wee first to surrender to British.

kinda true.. intellectuals can't run a country, leaders can and Bengal doesn't really have good leaders. The likes of CPM have made it only worse.

Ur information about Bihar is obsolete, it was taken in 2005.
After Nitish Kumar came to power in Dec 2005, Bihar has improved a lot.

That is true. No one denies that but also check history from 1300 AD to around 1800 AD you will find Bengal always rules by some outsider , mainly Nawab without any uprising or revolt etc.

so whats wrong with a local nawab's rule? it were the maratha ( borgi) raiders and looters who used to torment the bengal countryside bigtime and the nawab's ( aliwardi khan) forces protected the rural bengali folk from borgi torture!

It was Nawabs with help of his Pathan forces who ruled and controlled Bengal. No local Bengali was invovled in any kind of war. In this process East Bengal was finally lost to Pakistan.

CPM & Scandal
by letsgo on May 11, 2009 10:59 AM  | Hide replies

Every big leader from Cong or BJP has scandals like taking bribe , taking kickbacks from arm-deals, relations with underworld and even at times illicit relationship with girls. However bad they are, u can't bring any CPM leaders name into any such scandal. Mamta has several allegations against them but can't prove a single one even when she was a minister.

CPMs industrialization policy:
Threaten farmers and grab land.
If farmers dont agree, kill farmers, and grab land.
Sell to capitalists, and enjoy the profit.

Sorry boss, no other party does this...
People are going to teach CPM a very bitter lesson in this election.

If you don't like Commis than make or create a different party in your own state. Don't follow cowbelt for that every time. Why you go to select from one of those parties like BJP, RSS, Samajwadi, Congress and so on, which are even worse than the opposite one ?
Remember my advice, never believe on BJP or RSS. Their main political manifestos are against all Bengalees and Muslims. They will try to divide you on various issues, like, Ghoti, Bangal, East, West, Jati, Pati, Commi, Congress, Ram, Alla and many. Actually, their ain targets are not muslims but Hindu Bengalees and I am surprised to know it from the hardcored criminals of BJP and RSS. Actually, Shyama Prasad Mukharjee was killed by Nehru and RSS. Those were conspiracies. Now they use his photo to run all their notorious acts. They have been torturing on all probasee Bengalees since 50 long years, refraining us from each and every sectors of progress; Did you know it ? Be careful about north Indians or non-Bengalees or we have to be extinct from this world.

by sivasubramanian on May 11, 2009 10:55 AM  | Hide replies

In BJP CPM is first,Congress don't fight BJP they make under ground deal with BJP to catch muslim block vote,
In my oppinion Muslim voting as a block to some party is/will create unneccessary enemy to them.
They can vote CPM who are staunch supporter of minority cause, still muslim don't vote for CPM.
This is hypocrazy

Threaten poor MULSIM farmers and grab land.
If farmers dont agree, kill farmers, and grab land.
Sell to capitalists, and enjoy the profit.

In Bengal, Mulsims are 25% of population, and CPM ensured that Mulsims get only 1% of the jobs in the goverment.
