Ofcourse Raul Vinci is villan who has billions of dollars in his foreign accounts by blessings of his mother Antonia Maino. The trio( Raul vinci, Antonia Maino and Priyanka vadra) has maintained their citizenship of Italy. So they can run away in case they are convicted in any scam.

India is the most blessed country in the world and that is a tragedy. Surrounded by water and himalyas, monsoons, fertile land, abundant manpower, good weather throughout the year, so much natural wealth. I don't think anymore blessings are going to help.

India Independent?
by SHARAD on May 09, 2009 12:27 AM  | Hide replies

Many of us are very proud of independent India and curse British. We are well aware of how the politicians who now rule India are. What does India give you? 50 years after independence many of us study in a schools built by British, colleges built by British, Universities built by British now companies owned by US.

Why should we be proud of India. We should be ashamed of India and thankful to British/US.

All independence meant was that the selected few can now exploit the masses at will.

Feeling good at the failure of Pakistan, at senseless cricket match victories and uncontrolled films have made us that. None of these can make your lives better. They have been used to controll us. Stop giving power to cricket/film personalities and think about your kids.

The fact that netas dividing people has also some positive angle. Real democracy is working. Initially only a few were getting the benifits. Now every body demand it thru the politicians and voting system. It is a positive thing if channelled properly. India is a great success despite all negatives. Tell me whic country other than the west is truly democratic?

India is going thru growing pains. maybe that is what happens in a democracy. US has been a democracy for 200 years . where as we have been for only 60 years. True there is a lot of scope for improvement. But we can not say GOVT has done nothing. Only after independence Indians are getting educated and our standard of living has gone up. Of course it has not reached every one. Hope India improves with education and time.

We could do better. If Indians were smarter they wouldn't allow the politicians to exploit them. Look at the progress India and Indians have made. I have never been educated in an institution remotely linked to the british. Don't know where you went. The schools and colleges the british built was enough for them to sustain a government and nothing else. The taxes went to Britain. Now our politicians (thousands of them) enjoy the money that was enjoyed by the British queen. Money that completely left India. They built roads and railways so they could govern. After Independence even remote areas had access to roads. By the way you are most welcome to migrate to Britain if they will have you.

Varun vs. Rahul
by Deepak Bali on May 09, 2009 12:07 AM  | Hide replies

Has anyone tried to compare these two cousins?? Look at varun who's speeches are always abusive, sarcastic and directed manly on the issue of communal divide. He always talks about how he is framed and his is a victim ... and all.

On the other hand, Rahul talks much more mature and in limits and talks about national issues...

Anything is good for the country other than BJP/RSS/VHP thinking...

Rahul speaks of sleeping with anyone and every one these days. He knows better than anybody that his party is going to loose this time. And time for desperate measures as the day of result gets closer.

Varun is fighting for his survival.
Rahul is just romancing with politics.

And stop blaiming BJP/RSS they are the only party who heartly cares abt the people, the system and the country. Anything wrong has to be severely punished may it be illegal conversion or anti-national activities. Dont you agree to that?

Shockwaves
by gomateswara on May 09, 2009 12:06 AM

The acquittal of Jagdish Tytler, the prime accused in the anti-Sikh riots of 1984, by the CBI should send shock waves across the country.

The CBI’s proclaimed autonomy is a sham. It sought to close the case in 2007 but had to continue the probe. That a Sikh prime minister can silence his conscience and campaign for the party in Delhi is a sad commentary on the moral fibre of our politicians. The Congress party’s dreams of having a committed judiciary is on the verge of realisation.
